Rocker Dave Pajo has quit Interpol less than a year after replacing bassist Carlos Dengler. Dengler parted ways with the band in May 2010 after the completion of its self-titled fourth record and Pajo subsequently joined the line-up.
However, he's decided to leave the group to spend more time with his family - and his bandmembers are fully supportive of his decision. The remaining members - Paul Banks, Dan Kessler and Sam Fogarino - say in a statement, "We're all friends. It's just an out-of-the-hotel, into-the-home sorta thing. He's going to be missed to be sure. Aside from being an exceptional musician, Pajo is a wonderful person to be around."
Pajo has been replaced by Brad Truax, who has previously played with Home and Jah Division.

Supermodel Helena Christensen hates reading rumours about her love life - because she is often wrongly paired with her girlfriends' partners.
The Danish beauty has been linked to a number of men since she catapulted to fame in the 1990s, but she insists most of the romance reports are completely false.
And Christensen is adamant the speculation can be hurtful when she is rumoured to have stepped out with her close pals' boyfriends.
She tells Britain's InStyle magazine, "I only really get annoyed by it in moments when I feel kind of down and vulnerable. But I do get bothered by the fact that I'm linked to all these man I haven't even met.
"Some were my girlfriends' boyfriends and (the press would) cut her out of the picture and then it would be me dating them. Billy Corgan was one of those situations - my girlfriend dated him for five years. Josh Hartnett, we're like brother and sister. The thought of us being together makes us crack up. Heath Ledger I barely even knew that well by the time of his death and suddenly I had dated him?"
Christensen, who has dated Inxs rocker Michael Hutchence and Interpol star Paul Banks, now avoids reading about herself.
She adds, "I don't do it any more, but if you read anything about yourself, it really messes with you. If you realise that people are looking upon you as like, 'Oh, she had all of them, man. She slept with all these musicians and actors.' Not so much for me, but my family, my kid."...

Paul Banks has said that he is proud to call Interpol a New York band. The Essex-born frontman, who left England when he was 3, told Metro that the Us city was important to the group. Banks said: "We're as much a New York band as other New York bands. We formed there, we wrote all our records there, we're from there, but so are The Strokes, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On The Radio. "There's a grit to New York bands too, a certain angst built into (more)...
