Creative Artists Agency (CAA) announced the dates for the Moebius Film Festival, an annual two-day screening series showcasing graduate student filmmakers. The festival will take place May 30-31, 2024.
This year’s event features an expanded portfolio of participating schools, including the festival’s first international-based institutions, the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (Iadt) in Dublin, Ireland and the National Film and Television School (Nfts) in Beaconsfield, England, along with New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts joining the program.
The ninth edition of the Moebius Film Festival will feature 10 short films curated from more than 130 submissions, including live-action, animated, and foreign language entries, all with a wide range of perspectives and highlighting its commitment to embracing cultural and artistic diversity.

The concept that the West, and particularly Europe and the US are some kind of heaven, has been a prevalent one in Asia since time immemorial. At the same time, though, the people who have actually taken the leap do realize that this is not always the case, with a number of movies actually highlighting the fact, with “Everybody's Gotta Love Sometimes” being one of the latest. “My Heavenly City” also moves in the same path, presenting three stories that highlight both the good and the bad of Asians living in the US, and particularly New York City.

Short Circuit, Singapore's First LGBT Film Festival, announced today that it would be returning with its highly anticipated seventh edition – Short Circuit 7. Held on the 21st October 2023 at The Projector, the event promises to celebrate diversity, artistry and a nod of support to the LGBTQ+ community.
Featuring a diverse line-up of eleven short films by Singaporean filmmakers, the festival, which was established in 2006, explores a wide range of themes such as love, identity, resilience and acceptance. This year, the programme will also include a host of engaging panel discussions and interactive Q&a sessions with the filmmakers themselves.
