Jeffrey Dinsmore is a writer, composer, performer, and publisher based
in Los Angeles. His career began in the fiction world, as author of the
comic novels Johnny Astronaut and I, An Actress: the Autobiography of
Karen Jamey, both of which have attracted cult audiences and glowing
reviews from The Believer and Publisher's Weekly. Jeffrey went on to
write the original screenplays for the short films "The Vanishing
Point" (based on his original short story) and "Working". As a
copywriter, he has written original scripts and music for ad clients
including Quiznos, Playstation, Nickelodeon, and the launch of Conan on
TBS. Jeffrey is the founder and publisher of Awkward Press, with whom
he produced the original short stories/film compilation Awkward Two.
Theatrical credits include original music for Les Freres Courbusiers'
Manifest Destiny and Megan Hayes's Opelika, as well as script and music
for his own one-man-with-stuffed-animals-show Christmas with the
Flamingos.
