FBI: Most Wanted’s revolving door of cast members has spun one too many times throughout the show’s relatively short run.
Going into FBI: Most Wanted Season 5, the team will get an assist from original FBI star Shantel VanSanten.
That’s right, folks. Nina Chase is becoming a permanent fixture with the Most Wanted team, and this is some casting news we can get behind.
VanSanten joined FBI in 2022 in a recurring role during Missy Peregrym’s maternity leave.
But Nina struck a chord with viewers and continued to appear on the show. Her relationship with Stuart Scola became a central storyline.
Nina gave birth to their child at the end of FBI Season 5.
Nina Chase will be on the FBI: Most Wanted case
The decision to ship her off to Most Wanted is exciting but will allow for more organic crossovers with the main series.

Shantel VanSanten has had many memorable roles throughout her impressive career on the small screen.
After breaking through as Quinn James on One Tree Hill in 2009, she's gone on to play Patty Spivot on The Flash, Julie Swagger on Shooter, and, more importantly, Karen Baldwin on For All Mankind.
In 2022, she joined the cast of FBI in the recurring role of Nina Chase, who blossomed into one of the best characters on the show.
Nina was a recurring player during Missy Peregrym's absence and didn't get much to do after the former's return.
Thankfully, the creatives at the wheel of the FBI franchise have come up with the inspired decision of shipping VanSanten over to FBI: Most Wanted.
It's an exciting time because there are many possibilities about how this will play out, so let's dive in.

With the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes well underway, it's surprising that casting news is trickling out for broadcast TV dramas.
Unfortunately, the news we're about to share will not come as good news for fans of FBI: Most Wanted.
Per Deadline, Alexa Davalos is no longer part of the CBS procedural's expansive cast.
Per the outlet, the actress was "informed by a producer on set that she won't be coming back after filming her last scene from Season 4 several months ago."
The decision means there will be no on-screen farewell for Kristin Gaines.
As a result, FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 Episode 1 will likely explain Kristin's departure.
Unfortunately, at the end of FBI: Most Wanted Season 4, there was no indication that Kristin was plotting her departure from the team.
It's sad for the fans who were invested in her arc because it means the resolution probably won't land as well as it should.

In the “FBI: Most Wanted” Season 4 premiere, which airs Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m., Dylan McDermott’s character Remy Scott goes undercover as a motorcyclist in a case that begins with the murder of an entire family in Georgia.
McDermott told TheWrap that it was his idea for Scott to go undercover, but he didn’t know he’d be playing a badass biker. “That just kind of came down the pipeline, no pun intended,” he says of the episode, which is titled “Iron Pipeline.” “Luckily, I ride motorbikes and motorcycles. So it was perfect.”
And those arm tattoos? Totally real. “They also played pretty well going undercover as a biker because they didn’t rub off,” McDermott said, adding he got his first tat in his 40s.
