While fans have gone wild over the Pitbull cover in “Bridgerton” Season 3’s climactic carriage scene, showrunner Jess Brownell admitted she was “nervous” to see the audience response.
“I picked the Pitbull song and I was a little nervous, because it’s an unusual choice that it might take people out of the scene,” Brownell told TheWrap. “But it’s been so wonderful to see that people have taken to it, that actually it’s given that scene even more depth.”
Brownell added that she knew the carriage scene — which features a steamy, intimate moment between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) after Colin confesses his romantic feelings for his longtime friend — was strong, admitting she “had a good feeling that people were going to respond to it.”

Lord Pitbull has officially joined the ton. Last week, Netflix premiered the first four episodes from Bridgerton‘s highly-anticipated third season, which centers its plot around Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington. Their slow-burning, friends-to-lovers romance reaches a heated point in the back of a carriage during that fourth episode — and the pivotal moment is soundtracked by an orchestral version of Pitbull‘s 2011 hit single “Give Me Everything.”

Pitbull reacted on Tuesday to his song’s feature in Bridgerton‘s carriage scene, which hit Netflix along with the first half of season three last week.
“This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries,” Mr. Worldwide wrote on Instagram beneath a clip of the scene.
Netflix’s Bridgerton has featured instrumental covers of hit pop songs since season one. Part 1 of season three included titles from BTS, Nick Jonas, Sia, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and more. In episode four, a cover of Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything” featuring Ne-Yo and Afrojack played during a carriage sex scene with stars Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan).

On Tuesday, the musician took to Instagram to give his stamp of approval for the Netflix drama’s stripped-down version of “Give Me Everything” (also featuring Ne-Yo and Afrojack) — as heard during Colin and Penelope’s steamy carriage ride in Episode 4.

This generation is crazy about cross-overs and mashups thanks to social media. The surging demand for engrossing reels has motivated musicians to come up with amazing remixes. While many of these are cringe enough to not entertain even for a second, there is DJ Johnnie Ernest’s solid cross-over that has caused ripples on social media. Netizens have gone bonkers over this song and cannot stop listening to it on a loop.
DJ Johnnie merged two chart-buster songs of 2022, which are AP Dhillon’s Excuses and CKay’s Love Nwantiti. The 16th edition of the Edm fest Sunburn kicked off in Vagator, Goa, on Wednesday with a promising line-up of artistes. The festival swung into action as the sun went down, but the first day was marked by a delay from the headliner, Afrojack. The Dutch DJ, whose official name is Nick Leonardus van de Wall, was late by 15 minutes to take to the mainstage.
His compatriot, Nicky Romero aka Monocule, who was performing ahead of Afrojack, acted as his wingman and held the fort by extending his set by 15 minutes to a packed audience, which was already in a state of euphoria because of the thumping beats.
The extended set saw some pyrotechnic works, enthralling lights and high-energy beats.

More than 600,000 revellers descended on Riyadh this past weekend for Soundstorm, the largest music festival in the Arab world.
Hosted by the music entertainment company Mdlbeast, Soundstorm has grow since it first debuted in 2019, contributing 118.5m to the Saudi economy and creating 16,000 jobs. Each year, the festival greets artists and audiences from around the world, this year’s headliners included Bruno Mars, David Guetta, and Peggy Gou.
For many Saudis and those in the wider region, it’s the event of the year. Omar, 25, described it as an “oasis of freedom” and spoke excitedly about seeing DJ Khaled on Friday night; one of several artists returning to the festival, welcomed back by a crowd that knows how to have a good time.

Ally Brooke is willing to do anything for love. At least that’s what she sings in her newest single, “Por Ti,” which cements the former Fifth Harmony star’s pivot to Latin music.
The music video premiering on Rolling Stone follows a female protagonist in a relationship with a criminal, as she ultimately decides to “do the right thing” even if, as Brooke sings on the track, she’d do anything for him. “Sometimes the best thing to do for someone is to help them get on the right path,...

The Chainsmokers played a rare, semi-private, hometown L.A. show this week as a partnership with Pepsi, celebrating the brand’s history with pop music. The set nodded at Michael Jackson and Britney Spears, but it got the Party Report thinking bigger…
This was the marquee at the Palladium in Hollywood. Where else do we see this kind of billing?
…At the Super Bowl Halftime show, sponsored for the last several years by Pepsi. Could the guys behind “Closer,” “Paris,” “Somthing Just Like This,” and “Roses” be headed that way?
Before you say “no way, not big enough,” this prominent show (with a Sunset Blvd. mural) was billed as a concert with “Special Guests”. The surprises turned out to be Kehlani and up-and-comer Max. The NFL has done a halftime-by-committee a few times in recent years. If they do it again, these could be the guys to anchor it from the DJ booth.

"You want to share it with as many people as possible." Abramorama has debuted the trailer for a music documentary titled What We Started, focusing on the Edm (or Electronic Dance Music) scene. I confess I am a huge Edm fan and have been listening for many years. This doc attempts to be a definitive look at the scene and the music and the people behind it all. The documentary features heavy-weight electronic dance music artists, including the infamous young new DJ, Martin Garrix, the legendary Carl Cox, as well as appearances by Erick Morillo, Moby, David Guetta, Afrojack, Paul Oakenfold, Seth Troxler, and DJ Tiesto. There are multiple cameos from musical superstars, including Usher and Ed Sheeran, who help exemplify the power and reach that electronic dance music has over mainstream music genres. This really looks damn good, seems to be a comprehensive examination of the entire culture. I'm...

The world is taking notice of Luis Fonsi.
Twenty years into his career, "Despacito," the Puerto Rican singer's crossover remix hit with Daddy Yankee and Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, is a bonafide phenomenon, topping charts across the world, including 16 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 -- tying the all-time record for consecutive weeks on top.
With all that, it's no surprise that Fonsi has earned recognition at both the Latin GRAMMYs -- where "Despacito" took home Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Urban Fusion/Performance and Best Short Form Music Video -- and the American GRAMMYs, where the remix has three nominations. Accomplishing the feat has long been a goal of first-time nominee.

One of the most surprising games of E3 2016, Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding, will not be on stage this year when Sony presents their wares. Read Kojima's tweet below and see if you can decipher it. Plus, find out when you can see the man, himself, live and in person at E3!

Alas, we aren't so lucky this year as Kojima has tweeted out that his team has decided to forego E3 2017 in favor of spending that time developing. That didn't mean Kojima, himself, wouldn't still be in attendance, though.

During his set at Electric Daisy Carnival New York, Afrojack debuted a new ID that sees the producer exploring the ever popular future bass style.
