- While Monsters Of Schlock performances focus on the more freakish, carnival side of things and cater to a more mature audience, Orbax and Pepper also perform family-friendly educational shows as science entertainers (under the "Orbax and Pepper Do Science!" banner).
- As a child he believed he was a monster, and later struggled with self-esteem and body issues. He sought to reclaim his true self through performance and body modification. He got titanium sternum bead implants, had his ears pointed, got monster spots tattooed all over his back, and he adopted the name Orbax.
- Studied physics at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, earning both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree, before cutting short his pursuit of a PhD. to become a freakshow entertainer.

This artistic venture (which Orbax calls "fixing God's mistakes") allowed Orbax to combine his love of monsters with his love of sideshow.
