- There's something exhilarating about performing live. It transports you to a world that you otherwise never want to leave.
- The 3 must haves in life: "Good food, Paris and Rock n' Roll!"
- It all boils down to choices in life. Every single choice or decision we made yesterday - will no doubt - absolutely and unequivocally affect our future because we chose to - even as we speak. That's why I never once believe that there are co-incidences in this lifetime. Just like it's not a co-incidence as to why I'm productive - because, I choose to. You're only a victim if you choose to be. Every single part of that process in the making was and always will be a conscious decision of mine.
- Everything that's happening to me now, is something I've envisioned in my past.
- Gaining recognition is a funny thing. You could come from one end and wind up on the other. I mean, you could start your life early on without anybody noticing even if they'd trip over you on a daily basis. More like, not knowing your very existence before. But then somehow, your time comes and you gain momentum along with greater responsibilities. All of the sudden, it becomes a game-changer. It's almost like creating a new identity unbeknownst to you. I find the exact same people to be a lot 'friendlier' this time around and anxious to please you. They tell me all sorts of things like how much I've changed and that I'm different now. And all the while, I haven't changed...not one bit.
- Being able to help educate and entertain teens - both at the same time - is very powerful. It usually shapes a lot of their thinking to prepare for what's ahead of them - which is real life. That's where shows like "B InTune TV" become more valuable these days and I can only wish to see more of them in the near future. Working with kids combined with music is no short of saying, "it truly is a dream job".
- I indulged myself and had to learn from the true-blooded pioneers. Artists who live and breathe nothing else but music as their livelihood - and while at it, they had fun. These are the 'tortured beings' whose only choice in life is to continue creating. To us, it is always harder to quit and always easier to prefer a long and dreadful battle as our means to rationality. I suppose this explains my irritability (every now and then) of needing life to be more than just one monotone. I tremendously admire the uniqueness of that point of view.
- Pursuing the entertainment business is much like a 'wanted relationship' that is far from perfect and oftentimes broken. You can't fix it...and yet, you can't you can't seem to leave either. I tell young kids all the time that, "liking this business is not good enough...you really got to LOVE them". People will tell you things according to how they personally see and experience it - good or bad. But the details are yet for you to find out and nobody will tell you this. Once you get over that hump, then your work begins. That's when you discover what you've been looking for...has been waiting for you all along.
- Sometimes, you need to let go before you let in.
- I was highly involve giving birth to it even to a point where it grew now. I mean...you know, it's an accomplishment.
- I don't know how they found me but they just called me up one day...so I said,"bring it on, right?"
- I do find myself writing songs that often reflect with 'meaning and purpose'. I think that if your song is strong enough (musically) by itself... then, good for you. But if you top that with engaging stories lyrically, it will add so much more 'depth and shelf life' to your work which ultimately, transcends future generations - and that's what you want. As a songwriter, I have the obligation to fulfill and that my job is never done until I marry the two. You got the initial attraction covered in music and the relationship upon knowing the person in lyrics chemistry-wise. Now, you really got yourself a powerful force.
- Life is a complicated game you can't quit.
- Mediocrity is not my biggest strength; it is one of the most wasteful things you can do to your life.
- I've learned that we constantly evolve in life. Who we were in the past may not be who we are today. And who we are now, may not be the same people in the future - and that's not necessarily a bad thing. You go through life...experience different things, to a point where you might not even be with the same people you started with. So in essence, you become a 'better you' - only if willing. That's when I stop resisting the 'good change' and I don't have to feel bad about it.
- I like being around with positive and secure people. It makes me feel normal and sane to say the least.
- When I find myself walking alone in a dark road ahead of me, I walk it anyway.
- I've seen people get so concern about being the first this... and being the first that. I don't particularly care whether I'm the 1st one or the 87th on the list. I think that's fine - but it also serves no relevance to me. The important thing is that, you made a difference in this world and continue to do so. That's how you stand out from the rest of the crowd in my eyes.
- I'm not a fan of people who don't have the sense of 'originality'. Ultimately, it becomes that much harder for me to identify them.
- Dreams are the very essence that bring you realities.
- I never forget where I come from; but I always remember where I'm going.
- You can say you did it and assume you know it - but there is NO substitute for 'real-life experience'. Up until then, your assumptions are nothing but just words.
