In a world where there are a lot of indie filmmakers doing it wrong, it's refreshing when it's done right.
Now, I'm not talking about film quality or tired stories etc. I'm talking about old fashioned "We actually give a shit about our fans and want them to know." It's about the little things.
Running a horror website for over seven years in the red with no steady income stream generated by the site can get quite discouraging. What makes it worse is when filmmakers and producers feel they are gracing you with their film and doing you a favor by "letting you" watch their movie's, forgetting that the professional rout is to offer a screener for review consideration.
Here at MoreHorror we try to get to as many screeners as we can, but sometimes it just doesn't happen. Sometimes, there's no real incentive, just a sense of expectation,...

A few months ago, we premiered the trailer for Frankenstein Created Bikers, which had a ton of hits from fans of the upcoming film. Well, I've finally seen it, and I've got to admit that it's even more insane than the trailer lets on. Shot on 35mm after a successful Kickstarter campaign, Frankenstein is a love letter to exploitation films carved into a bullet --- and sent skyrocketing into the air after several beers on the Fourth of July at a biker rally. This exploitation-sci-fi-cult-horror film extravaganza was directed by James Bickert (it's a sequel of sorts to his flick Dear God No!) and stars Tristan Risk, Ellie Church, Jett Bryant, Laurence R. Harvey, and a cast of others. The above actors are the best of the bunch in...

Director James Bickert (Dear God No!) is currently channeling the likes of Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! in his new film Frankenstein Created Bikers, and we've got an exclusive on the Nsfw red band trailer. Check it out below.Shot in CinemaScope on Super 35mm Kodak celluloid, the film stars Jett Bryant (Dear God No!), Laurence R. Harvey (The Human Centipede 2, The Editor), Tristan Risk (American Mary, The Editor) and Ellie Church (Harvest Lake). Frankenstein Created Bikers was described to me as a two-and-a-half hour "exploitation epic" --- shot over 30 days in 10 cities with a cast of 70 actors. Now that's ambition! No premiere details as of this posting, but stay tuned to the film's Facebook page for news and updates. Bickert says: "I'm really proud of how we merged...

Tom “The Dude Designs” Hodge won international acclaim for his back to poster school design for the gloriously fun and bloody Hobo With a Shotgun earlier last year; Sketching Rutgar Hauer’s taught face pumping out shell after shell amongst a background of tasters and characters, effortlessly capturing the grind house filth hidden inside Jason Eisner’s homage to 80′s revenge films.
Skilled with a pen, a keen eye for the ladies, a love of gore and guns and a genuine fountain of conversation to boot. The Dude is a poster loving freak of epic proportions, his studio plastered with VHS cover art so we sat down and asked him a few questions about the world’s ever growing love for one off and official film art, the state of mainstream and how and how John Alvin’s Blade Runner should be in the Louvre.

It's true, I don't know if you've heard the story, but it's true…every time an indie film gets distro an angel gets its wings…or maybe it's a Hellspawn gets its chains…one or the other. Regardless, the important news here is that the award-winning brutal biker film, Dear God No!, has grabbed a distribution deal with Archstone Distribution.
Written and directed by James Bickert, Dear God No! had a great run at film festivals last year and looks to continue that success with this distribution deal with Archstone (the fine people who also distroed Machete and both Human Centipede films). The movie stars Jett Bryant, Madeline Brumby, Olivia Lacroix, Paul McComiskey, John Collins, Shane Morton, Nick Morgan, Rusty Stache, Jim Sligh, Billy Ratliff, Johnny McGowen, John Collins, Heath Street, Rachelle Lynn, Nick Hood and Jim Stacy.
