Starting in grade school, I gained an interest in photography by learning what it meant to shoot stills on film and develop my own photos. After graduating high school and going on to the University of Advancing Technology in Phoenix Arizona, obtaining a degree in Video Game Design. While in Phoenix I started taking film and television classes at Scottsdale Community College, which opened my eyes to the wonderful world of storytelling. After one year of studies, while on vacation, I accepted a full time job in Israel as a set lighting technician at United Studios Herzliya.
Working full time at Herzliya Studios my skills developed, and understanding of how paint with light became my main focus. Here I was given the opportunity to work on such shows as Eurovision, X-Factor, and The Voice. In addition to lighting, I also worked with the Outside Broadcast Van for the studios where he worked as an ENG camera assistant. Eventually on-stage camera operators routinely requested me as their camera assistant at major broadcast events around the country. All of this experience eventually put me on the radar of my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
While traveling back to America, I took time to go and visit the I.A.T.S.E. Local 209 in Cleveland where after a week of waiting my life was changed for forever. The same week of acceptance into I.A.T.S.E Local 209, I received a phone call that turned out to be an invitation to work on Captain America the Winter Soldier. This afforded me work on second unit as a grip and after second unit wrapped I was picked up by first unit rigging electric to finish shooting in Cleveland; afterwards launching the start of my freelance career. Since 2013 I has been working freelancer having Gaffed 2 features, several music videos, short films, branched out into live musical performances as a lighting technician, and theater as a Lighting Designer. In addition, in my spare time, I shoot freelance still photography.
The entertainment industry is my life and career. When it comes to work, my knowledge is vast, skills are well honed, and experience is extensive. Through experience in various types of projects throughout multiple countries in the manner of: film, television, theater, music videos, live performances, commercials, and dance; I have significantly developed skills to follow, complete, and excel in production task. Years of experience in Lighting and Camera work have given me the tools necessary to methodically create and light a frame with intent and meaning. Visual storytelling has become the foundation for my work ethic, perseverance, and future.
