Tony Chen is a Hollywood award-winning music composer/producer. He is also a bilingual voice talent with over 15 years of experience in Mandarin Chinese and English(with a British/American/Asian accent), and is also a great musical singer who can sing in perfect Mandarin Chinese and English.
His score for the award-winning documentary, "Free China: The Courage to Believe" was nominated for Best Soundtrack Album at the 2012 Hollywood Music in Media Awards. The following year, Tony's Free China theme song "The Courage to Believe," won "Music in Visual Media Winner of Best Song - Indie Film/Documentary/Short Category" at the 2013 Hollywood Music In Media Awards.
Following this success, the theme song and accompanying soundtrack became official contenders for "Best Original Song" and "Best Original Score", respectively, at the 86th Academy Awards.
Tony's 2014 January composition "Flying High Above" was nominated for "Best Contemporary Orchestral" piece at the 2014 Hollywood Music In Media Awards. Originally from Beijing, China, Tony graduated from the music department at the University of Huddersfield in the UK, where he studied music composition, scoring for film/TV/ Multimedia, vocal training, and opera performance.
