If you’ve been following along with season 14 of Top Chef, you’ve seen the high-intesenity fights (we’re looking at you John Tesar and Katsuji Tanabe) and challenges that are more stressful than ever (like staying up for 24 hours to roast a pig!). But throughout it all there was one constant that was always there to mellow us out (and give us a laugh), chef Sheldon Simeon.

Prepare for a flurry of expletives and accusations in this exclusive preview of tonight’s dramatic episode of Top Chef.
In this season, the 14th cycle of the hit Bravo series, eight returning chefs have been competing against eight new contestants. The clip above features two veteran chefs — John Tesar (Season 10: Seattle) and Katsuji Tanabe (Season 12: Boston) — going head-to-head in the kitchen over tomato preparation and plating with just one hour left until service.
“I don’t want to be that guy always fighting with people,” chef Tesar says to Tanabe after we hear the beginning of the exchange.

Time to eat, Top Chef fans! To be honest, we’re just excited that TV’s best cooking competition is back, so we’ll take any flavor of it we can get. But the new season pitting eight new chefs against eight former cheftestants does add a little… spice, doesn’t it?
Some of the returning chefs — oh, let’s just call them “leftovers” — we’re happy to see again. (Hi, Brooke!) But others? Well, we just won’t mention the ones we could do without. (*coughcough*JohnTesar*coughcough*)

'Top Chef Seattle' recap: C.J. Jacobson packs his knives again with Tyler Wiard in double elmination
"Top Chef Seattle" is back with another surprise double elimination -- and this time, no winner.
As the episode opens, we find out it's Stefan Richter's birthday, and he's worried this is the day he'll be kicked off. "When I was competing in New York," he says, "everybody got kicked off on their birthday, and I was like 'birthday curse' -- f**k, no. I don't want to go home on my fortieth birthday."
Forewarning? Hmm ... turns out, not so much.
Quick-Fire Challenge
The cheftestants meet Padma Lakshmi and guest judge, Seattle chef Daisley Gordon at Pike's Place Market. The chefs are told to divide into teams of two, and as usual, some are less than pleased with the chef they've been stuck with. They're told their challenge is to make break fast to go ... on a stick, for 50 of the market's workers. They're given one hour to set...
