Taylor Swift makes history at the 3rd Annual Gold Derby Music Awards for the most awards won in a single year by an artist. Out of her 11 nominations, she prevailed eight times, including Artist of the Year, Record of the Year (“All Too Well”), and Song of the Year (“All Too Well”), categories she has won every year of the GDMAs so far. But just like last year, she couldn’t take that sweep all the way to Album of the Year. Scroll down for the complete list of winners in all 22 categories, and watch the video announcement above.

The 2022 Grammy Awards broadcast wrapped up with an upset victory of sorts, with Jon Batiste beating out the likes of Taylor Swift and Kanye west to take home Album of the Year for his excellent “We Are.”
That was his fifth win of the night, following four wins during the “Premiere Ceremony,” where all of the awards not deemed cool enough for television were handed out, hosted by the always wonderful Levar Burton.
Batiste also accomplished a rather ignominious milestone for the Grammy Awards themselves: He’s the first Black artist to win Album of the Year since Herbie Hancock back in 2008. You read that right: It’s literally been 14 years and 3 presidents since the Academy recognized the work of Black artists with this honor. And in case you’re wondering, the only nonwhite artist to win Best Album during that time was Bruno Mars in 2018.
Speaking of Mars, Batiste...

Celine Dion didn’t really have much need for a “comeback.” She is one of the biggest-selling artists of all time, has been hailed as one of the greatest, most versatile voices in history and for years reigned supreme over Las Vegas as its highest-paid act. Not a single wedding or karaoke bar in the world has gotten through an evening without at least one of her songs tearing down the roof, brimming with nostalgia and that signature French-Canadian accented warble.

Producer J. Period has tapped Andra Day and hip-hop stalwarts Dead Prez for a politically charged new video for their song, “See the Light.”
The clip opens with a string of sprawling city skyline shots to accompany the song’s spare piano intro before jumping to a sequence in which Day broadcasts the song’s potent chorus. Elsewhere, Dead Prez MCs stic.man and M-1 spit revolutionary verses in a vast warehouse filled with others ready to join their cause.

Skrillex has been on a serious hip-hop binge, and A$AP Ferg is the latest to recruit the world’s most in-demand producer.
Titled “Hungry Ham,” the track is part of Ferg’s forthcoming album Always Strive And Prosper, and it summons the quirky production of Jack Ü more than the scintillating design of Skrillex. At first listen, it might seem a bit overbearing, but after a couple play-throughs, you’ll begin to see the meaning laden throughout.
The sophomore album is set to feature Missy Elliott, Future, Schoolboy Q, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign and Chris Brown, in addition to production from Clams Casino, Lex Luger, DJ Khalil, and Stargate. While this collaboration with Skrillex might receive mixed reviews, Stereogum explains “Hungry Ham” rather well:
‘Hungry Ham’ — though electro-leaning, club-friendly, and easily able to traverse a broad range of fans — is all about the block Ferg grew up on.
