Allen is the founder and president of Destination Theatre Company. J.B.
represents his 10th production for DTC in which he has had directorial
duties. Allen is a graduate of Evangel University (class of 1999) with
a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Drama Education and of Lindenwood
University (class of 2007) with a Master's degree in Theatre
Management. Other, non-DTC credits include Production Assistant for
Missouri Baptist University's production of Oklahoma!, Lighting
Assistant for the Tin Ceiling's production of Rosencrantz and
Guidenstern are Dead, and Dramaturg for Broadway on the Driveway's
premier production of The Four Freedoms. Allen has also directed or
co-directed productions, in a teaching capacity, for Riverview Gardens
Central Middle School (Mame, The Fantasticks, Why Do We Laugh, This is
a Test, and Neil Simon's Rumors), Francis Howell School District's
Saeger Middle School (Happy Daze) and St. Louis Public School's Carr
Lane Middle School (The Music Man Jr., Four Parodies on a Christmas
Carol, and Neil Simon's Fools). Allen is married to Kristy and has
three kids; Isaac, Rebekah and Rachel. Allen's DTC directorial credits
include The Diary of Anne Frank, If the Good Lord's Willing and the
Creek Don't Rise, the 2007 One Act Competition, Charlotte's Web-The
Musical, Tilly, the 2008 One Act Competition and A Christmas Carol.
