Brent Johnson, a Los Angeles-based cinematographer and Bay Area native, graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a BFA in Cinematography. "Jezebel," his first feature film with director Numa Perrier, had its world premiere at SXSW 2019, winning Best Director and Best Film at the American Black Film Festival, and was projected in theaters across the country. He received a NASA Silver Medal of Achievement for his air-to-space data capture of the Hayabusa 2 orbital re-entry in 2020. Brent has a production company, Get Lucky Films, with his wife Megan McCarthy Johnson, where they support other artists by filming and producing documentaries, shorts, and feature-length films.
