Funko and 10:10 Games have announced upcoming video game Funko Fusion this afternoon, and much to our delight, the game is absolutely loaded with Funko Pop-style horror icons.
The official trailer for Funko Fusion heavily features John Carpenter’s The Thing, as well as 1999’s The Mummy, Jaws, Jurassic World, and even Jordan Peele’s Nope!
Other horror properties including M3GAN, Shaun of the Dead, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Jurassic Park, and Chucky have also been confirmed for Funko Fusion.
Funko Fusion is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on September 13, 2024. Pre-orders for physical console editions of the game open starting today at select global retailers, with pre-orders opening across digital storefronts soon.
Funko Fusion is an action-adventure, single player and online co-op experience that pays tribute to NBCUniversal’s deep roster of beloved worlds and the irreverent Funko Pop! interpretations of the figures who inhabit them.

As an optimist that believes theatrical exhibition will survive, I look forward to the day when David Prior’s The Empty Man is introduced by a genre geek at an upcoming cult screening, perhaps Weird Wednesdays at the Alamo Drafthouse. The Empty Man is a curious creation, arriving as a B-movie compromise from Disney for beleaguered theaters while the studio ships its A-level movies like Pixar’s Soul to Disney+. This picture, with a 137-minute running time, was seemingly plucked from the limbo of the pre-Disney Fox vault, and although Disney has changed the name of the studio in February, they didn’t even spare the expense to swap out the 20th Century Fox logo and presenting credit on the Dcp sent to theaters.
Putting aside the business of distribution and exhibition, as well as The Empty Man’s unique time and place in cinematic history, for much of the...

The Lego series is known for immortalizing hundreds of famous characters in Lego form, everyone from Alfred Pennyworth to Captain Hector Barbossa have all been shrunk down into malleable plastic figures in their own respective games. While ‘Lego DC Super-Villains’ sports a cast comparable to any game before it in the series, the main attraction is something completely new.
Meet Ocean Dweller, he’s a brand new character that’s completely new to the DC universe and the Lego series. He’s something that would be surprising in a game like this if he wasn’t the character I created during my hands-on time with the game at this year’s E3. This villain-focused entry doubles down on the Lego element by having you build the main character from scratch.

The first thing to know about The Post, aside from the fact that it's one of best and tick-tock timeliest movies of the year, is that it's a love story. That's right. Steven Spielberg's tense, terrific new drama celebrates the passionate bond between a free press and every thinking human being, however diminished the species in Trump's America.
The film is set in 1971, when Washington Post publisher Katharine Graham (Meryl Streep) and editor Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks) decided to defy threats from the Nixon White House and publish the Pentagon Papers,...

There’s topical, there’s timely, and then there’s “The Post,” which feels less like a historical thriller set in 1971 than it does an exhilarating caricature of the year 2017. While Steven Spielberg’s latest film rivetingly dramatizes the publication of the Pentagon Papers (and eloquently unpacks the consequences of their dissemination), “The Post” wears the Nixon era like a flimsy disguise that it wants you to see right through.
That’s not to take away from Ann Roth’s ratty and exquisite period costume design, or to detract from how immaculately set decorator Rena DeAngelo recreated the smokey thrum of the old Washington Post newsroom. It’s certainly not to diminish Meryl Streep’s fraught and powerfully grounded portrayal of the late publishing scion Katharine Graham — she hasn’t been this good since “Adaptation,” or maybe even “Death Becomes Her,” if ever.
