Need to catch up? Check out the previous Quantico recap here.
Remember when Quantico was fun-but-far-fetched? Yeah, those were good times.
There’s a moment in this week’s Quantico where Marcia Cross’ now-President Claire Haas delivers a monologue that Hillary Clinton herself has probably muttered to herself while walking the woods of Chappaqua.
When Shelby asks the former vice president why she isn’t ready to “just do the right thing” in regard to the show’s pressing terrorist problem, Claire replies, “Because I wasn’t elected. America elected a half-as-qualified man with next to no experience, a man...

Picking up the evening after the events of its winter finale, Grey’s Anatomy did not pass “Go,” did not collect $200 — it went directly to jail for its midseason premiere. But Alex’s decision to take a plea deal and do time in order to protect Jo’s identity wasn’t the focus of “You Can Look (But You’d Better Not Touch).” On the contrary, the episode followed Arizona, Bailey and Jo to the prison floor of Tri-County Hospital. Why? Read on and find out!

Lin-Manuel Miranda and Dwayne Johnson had so much fun working together on Disney’s “Moana” that they decided to combine their talents on another project: “Millennials: The Musical.” The handsome and talented producers, as they call themselves, shared the first sneak peek of the Broadway production in a mockumentary released on The Rock’s YouTube page.
“Theater is a beautiful, living, breathing thing. To tread the boards is a duty and a blessing,” Miranda says in the “Making of The Musical” video. The Rock followed up saying, “As long as you don’t f**k it up.”
While they may have full schedules, the actors couldn’t pass up the opportunity to produce something they were very passionate about.
“Obviously Dwayne and I are very busy in our respective fields,” Miranda continued. Johnson added, “We have a team of scientists looking into slowing the rotation of the earth so we...

“Swan Song”
Original Airdate: 5 November 2013
In This Episode...
Well, here we are folks: the finale. In the last challenge, the contestants must create two characters from the ballet Swan Lake: the maiden as she transforms into the swan, and the sorcerer who puts her in that condition. In addition, the characters must choose an era to set their Swan Lake in. Each contestant will get to choose one veteran and one newbie to work on their team. Oh, and each makeup must be danceable - the models are the dancers and they will be performing.
The Creations
Laura teamed with Eddie and Miranda to create characters in the style of Italian Renaissance. I thought it looked very “warrior,” but the curls and waves and gold leaf did help soften it up. I especially loved the sorcerer’s head - I think this was my favorite sorcerer. Ve...

In This Episode...
The remaining four contestants meet with Dave Salmoni, a naturalist, who introduces the contestants to a bunch of exotic birds. The challenge this week is to create a human/bird hybrid, based on one of the birds they have been shown.
The Creations
Laura chose the umbrella cockatoo. Because it can live to be very old, and molts a lot, she creates an old age/bird makeup. Ve likes the coloring, especially around the eyes, and likes that she used flesh tones. She thought Laura was the only one who really brought any humanity into the sculpt. Glenn thought she captured the essence of the challenge, and the face had a lot of character. Neville had lots of problems with the look - until she mentioned the molting. In This Episode...
The contestants must create a dark elf based on an ancient rune. But, the contestants won’t know what their rune means until they have picked one out, so they have to go based on looks alone.
There is a lot of falling apart in this episode. On the first day of the competition, Laney spends most of it crying hysterically in the bathroom. This season of Face Off has been the best ever. The challenges have been inspired, the contestants ridiculously talented, and the concept of Vets vs Rookies has been a great twist. Happily, Syfy has agreed, today announcing the pickup of a sixth season, as well as two specials that will air next month in the weeks after the November 5th Season 5 finale.
One of the specials, Face Off: Naked and Painted, is of course in support of new series Naked Vegas, the body painting show, but adding in McKenzie Westmore as host of the special gives it a definite bump in coolness. The second special, Face Off: Judges’ Favorites, is the one I’m really looking forward to; some of the creations over the five seasons have been absolutely astounding and it should be terrific seeing them all together in one special.
Here are all the deets:

They must create a foreboding character that represents their sin, and also work in their color. Guest judge this week is Bryan Fuller, executive producer of Hannibal.
The Creations
Miranda chose blue lust. She created a beautiful horned makeup - but I didn’t see lust in it. The judges felt the same, even after she described her creation as a demon whose lust for eternal youth drives her to drink the blood of men. Glenn, Ve, and Neville all thought that the sculpt was gorgeous and the paint was beautiful, but Bryan sagely noted that it needed more T&A. “Seemed prudish for lust.”

Syfy has ordered an amazing-sounding reality series. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge will basically be the creature version of Face Off with Jim Henson‘s son, Brian Henson as lead judge.
CBS has made it possible to watch the pilot Super Clyde online. The rejected comedy, from Raising Hope and My Name is Earl producer Greg Garcia, starred Rupert Grint as a fast food worker who receives an inheritance and uses it to become a superhero. Stephen Fry plays Clyde‘s butler, Tyler Labine plays Clyde’s brother and overall the pilot shows a frustrating amount of promise. Even if there won’t be more episodes, it’s worth watching for fans of Garcia’s previous shows.
Plus, who can say no to Rupert Grint in a sidecar?
It’s official. Jennie Garth has joined Tori Spelling‘s ABC Family pilot Mystery Girls.
You can add The Six Million Dollar Man...

In This Episode...
Forming their own teams of two, the contestants must create a dark and sexy alien circus performer. The makeups will be worn by members of the Cirque Berzerk performance troupe (basically a punk rock version of Cirque du Soleil).
The Creations
Roy and Laura teamed up to create an alien animal trainer, complete with a parasite attached to his abdomen. Glenn loved the idea, but thought it could have been better. He wanted to see the parasite on the neck or back of the performer, but liked the shape and color choice of the head. Ve was not fond of the all-blue paint job. The spotlight challenge this week asks each contestant to select an iconic art movement and create a character that could live in a piece of art.

“Future Frankenstein”
Original Airdate: 20 August 2013
In This Episode...
This week, the contestants have a Frankenstein challenge. They are organized in teams of three and must create a Frankenstein and his bride from the future, with a completely original backstory. The winning design will be featured at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. Neville is not here tonight, so actor / writer Kevin Grevioux (the Underworld films; I, Frankenstein) is the guest judge.
The Creations
Alana, Laney, and Laura: Their backstory had a Frankenstein from the past brought to life with a bolt of lightning, and he creates his bride to power him. My favorite detail was that, in the future, human body parts become fashion accessories, so the bride gains her power for Frank with an umbrella with a human hand handle. This was my favorite duo this week. Ve loved the paint and the modeling, while Glenn thought the bride especially was beautiful.
