As additional photography continues on Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World in Atlanta, some more photos from the set have been shared online.
These black and while shots give us another look at Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) suited-up as Captain America, Rosa Salazar as Serpent Society member Diamondback, and Giancarlo Esposito as... we're still not sure!
Fans have been speculating about the identity of The Boys and The Mandalorian actor's mysterious character ever since we found out that he'd joined the MCU, and despite getting a pretty decent look at Esposito in-costume, we're still non the wiser.
All we know for sure is that he is playing a villain, and based on his array of weapons, we'd say he is more than likely a non-super-powered mercenary of some kind. This does narrow things down, but not by much!
There's been speculation that Esposito's character might be Moon Knight baddie Bushman,...

With reshoots ongoing on Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World, a ton of new set photos have been surfacing online over the past few days and the latest batch reveals star Anthony Mackie ("Sam Wilson/Captain America") suited up in his classic white-and-blue suit from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, essentially reaffirming that he'll be sporting multiple looks in the eagerly-awaited Marvel blockbuster.
As per a recent report, the additional photography isn't expected to be particularly extensive, and should conclude within another week or two. New action sequences were expected to be added, so based on what we're seeing in these photos, it looks like they might be shooting a new opening for the film, where Mackie sports his first Captain America suit.
He'll also wear a wingless blue-and-red suit in the film, something not too dissimilar from Steve Rogers' stealth suit, but it's not yet clear what...

Ever since Steve Rogers decided to hand his shield off to his buddy Sam Wilson (a.k.a. Falcon) at the end of Avengers: Endgame, fans have wondered what was next. We got a Disney+ series that showed Sam’s hesitance to pick up the mantle of Captain America and the history that comes with it. By the end of the series, he knew he was the only person who could take on the role of Captain America. Now, where do we go? It looks like the upcoming story of super heroes and alter egos, Captain America: Brave New World, will tell us when it reaches theatre screens on February 14, 2025.

As the latest round of reshoots on Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World (formerly known as New World Order) continue, this latest photo from the set is sure to raise a few questions!
Shared by Atlanta Filming, the image features strange creatures hanging by their tails. Though there's been some speculation that these might be the Soul Eaters from Chang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, they look a lot more like Orloni to us.
These small, rodent-like animals were introduced in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and seem to be a very popular snack in certain cosmic corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
We have no clue why these little critters would be a part of this particular movie, so there's always a chance they simply resemble Orloni. Another theory is that these are some sort of Gamma-mutants created by Doctor Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader.

Following yesterday's first glimpse of Giancarlo Esposito in-costume on the set of Captain America: Brave New World, we have a new photo giving us a look at Rosa Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel) as Rachel Leighton, aka Diamondback.
A previous rumor claimed that the supervillain group known as the Serpent Society had actually been completely cut from the movie during reshoots. This may have been accurate at the time, but this latest round of additional photography has revealed that at least one member of the team will still feature.
As you can see, Salazar is now sporting the character's signature hot pink hair after previously appearing with blonde locks in a photo shared online last year.
A New look at Rosa Salazar in hot pink hair for her character Diamondback in #CaptainAmerica4 has been shared with us by @AtlantaFilming
What do you think of the hair? Are you excited to see this character in Cap 4? pic.

Giancarlo Esposito recently confirmed that he had joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe - though not as Professor X - and speculation has been running rampant since.
Now, a first look at the actor's stand-in has been shared online, and we also have some details on his "antagonist agent of chaos" character.
Spoilers follow.
We now have confirmation that Esposito will indeed make his MCU debut in Captain America: Brave New World, which recently started another round of reshoots. Thanks to Atlanta Filming, we have a set photo featuring his stand-in wearing tactical gear.
Not much to go on, but Af did also share a crudely drawn sketch of Esposito's character in his full costume, along with some very interesting new details.
It seems this fella is going to be very well-equipped for battle, with three guns, three knives, and an axe. He is also said to sport a black cape with brown lining,...

We've had a pretty good idea that Captain America: Brave New World would feature the MCU debut of Red Hulk for a while now, but we recently got confirmation thanks to some McDonald's Happy Meal Toys!
Not an ideal way to get a first look at the rampaging red monster, but the plush toys weren't exactly detailed. Now, thanks to some new promo art, we finally have a proper look at the character design.
The artwork isn't the clearest, but it still gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect from Brave New World's take on the transformed General President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (Harrison Ford). And no, it doesn't look like he's going to grow the 'stache back when he changes!

Tim Blake Nelson is excited about his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time since 2008 when he played Samuel Sterns / The Leader in The Incredible Hulk. The Leader returns to the MCU in Captain America: Brave New World, which sees Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson picking up the shield after Steve Rogers passed the torch. The Incredible Hulk ended with Sterns undergoing his transformation into The Leader, and Nelson says his look in the new film could be more comics-accurate.
After an accident at a chemical plant exposed Sterns to high levels of radiation, his skin turned green, and his head became enlarged alongside his brain. After dying and returning to life several times, the Leader becomes obsessed with the afterlife and an object called the Green Door, “a metaphysical barrier that connects the Below-Place, the bottom layer of the Multiverse, even below the deepest layer of Hell,...

Whoops! Thanks to a new Amazon mail advert, Anthony Mackie’s brand-new Captain America suit for Captain America: Brave New World is on display. American Bald Eagle-eyed fans posted the promo featuring Sam Wilson’s stylish Captain America suit, revealing the star-spangled hero’s upcoming look for the forthcoming Marvel film. In the promo, Sam Wilson sports a royal blue suit with red and white stripes across his torso. With Cap’s classic shield in hand, it appears as if Sam’s wings have a new blue and white paint job to match the theme. Oh, and remember Sam’s red-tinted glasses. He needs to protect his eyes from splattered insects when he’s flying through the sky. No one wants to pick severed wings out of their eye ducts when they’re trying to save the planet.

This post contains heavy spoilers for Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania
Despite some worries that Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania would abandon the laid-back attitude of the previous two movies starring Scott Lang, the latest MCU entry managed to be a pretty light adventure. Until the mid-credit scene, that is. That’s where we learn that Kang isn’t really gone and that the heroes of Earth will need to assemble a lot more than an army of ants.
The Kang that battles Ant-Man and the Wasp comes to the Quantum Realm after being exiled by some mysterious group who he only refers to as “they.” Kang is far more forthcoming about his motivation for conquering the Quantum Realm: he needs to assemble an army and escape to defend reality from his worst enemy, himself.

After more than a decade on our screens, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a massive universe at this point, and it can be hard to keep track of everything that’s gone down — so allow us to do that for you.
Obviously, if you’re watching Marvel’s latest releases, you’re probably already pretty well-versed in this particular franchise. But maybe you’re coming into one of these new films simply because an actor you love is in it, or someone you love wants to watch a Marvel project with you, and you don’t have much of a knowledge base going into it.
Whether you don’t have time to sit down and marathon six or seven shows and almost 30 movies — or really just don’t have a desire to — or you’re simply here because you’re trying to remember when that one thing happened, we’ve got you.

When we next see Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he’ll have a new gig, and it’s a mighty impressive one. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke with Entertainment Weekly about all things Marvel earlier today, and while talking about Captain America: New World Order, he mentioned that Ross will be the President of the United States in the movie.
“This is certainly a big part for Thaddeus Ross,” Kevin Feige said. “He’s the president of the United States in the film. And with Harrison, you think about Air Force One, and you think about some of his confrontations with the president in Clear and Present Danger. There’s a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson. They have a history together, but in this film, we’ll be seeing the dynamic between Captain America and the president of the United States in a way that is just incredible.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever finishes off Marvel’s chaotic and oversaturated Phase 4 and while there’s much to be said about the heroes of Wakanda taking up arms after T’Challa’s abrupt demise, one of the true highlights of the movie is Tenoch Huerta as Namor, the Sub-Mariner. The aquatic king known to his people as K’uk’ulkan is a revelation in Wakanda Forever. Hurt first played Ross in Marvel Studios’ 2008’s ‘The Incredible Hulk,’ as a U.S. Army general who is instrumental in transforming scientist Bruce Banner (then played by Edward Norton) into the Hulk.
Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson returns for his first solo outing as Captain America. Tim Blake Nelson will reprise his ‘The Incredible Hulk’ role fourteen years later to play the villain The Leader.
In addition, Carl Lumbly will return as Isaiah Bradley while Danny Ramirez returns as the new Falcon after both appeared in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ series.
Also in news – Timothy Dalton joins ‘Yellowstone’ prequel series ‘1923’
In addition, Shira Haas will play Sabra in what director Julius Onah dubs a paranoia thriller.

Harrison Ford is stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The legendary actor will step in as Thaddeus ”Thunderbolt” Ross, replacing the late William Hurt, for 2024’s ”Captain America: New World Order” starring Anthony Mackie.
The fourth “Captain America” movie follows the events of the 2021 Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”; that show’s head writer, Malcolm Spellman, wrote the screenplay with “Faws” staff writer Dalan Musson. Julius Onah is directing.
It does not appear, however, that Ford is set to star in “Thunderbolts,” Marvel’s anti-hero team-up film that is scheduled to immediately follow “Captain America 4.”

Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) passed on his shield to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) in Avengers: Endgame, bringing Captain America’s arc to a well-deserved conclusion. The events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier found Wilson taking on the mantle of Captain America as it explored the implications of a Black man being given that role. Anthony Mackie will be bringing his version of Cap to the big screen with Captain America: New World Order, but there are bound to be comparisons between the two heroes.

Anthony Mackie recently spoke with Men’s Journal, where he explained how his version of Captain America will be quite different from Chris Evans’.
Mine will be different. What you have to realize about Sam—he’s a superhero who is not really a superhero. There’s no secret serum. There’s no this or that.

Back at Comic-Con, Disney & Marvel Studios revealed that a Thunderbolts movie would be hitting theatres on July 26th, 2024, and now, at D23, we’ve gotten an official cast list. Sebastian Stan leads the adventure as The Winter Soldier and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, aka the new Black Widow. Her adopted dad, David Harbour’s Red Guardian, is along for the ride, as is Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster, but the rest of the team is where it gets really interesting. Wyatt Russell’s John Walker (aka US Agent) from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and Hannah John Kamen’s Ghost from Ant-Man and the Wasp make up the rest of the team. At the D23 panel, Stan joked about Winter Soldier is the most stable member of the group.
In the comics, the Thunderbolts are a team of anti-heroes consisting of mostly reformed supervillains.

Some very unexpected news coming out of Disney's D23 Expo today, particularly for fans of character actor Tim Blake Nelson and 2008's "The Incredible Hulk." During the Marvel Studios presentation at the convention it was revealed that Nelson, who first appeared as Samuel Sterns in the 2008 Marvel Cinematic Universe entry, is making his long-awaited return. But not in a "Hulk" movie! Rather, Nelson will be playing a villain in "Captain America: New World Order."
It was revealed that Nelson's Samuel Sterns, who helped Bruce Banner attempt to cure himself, will transform into the villain the Leader from the pages of Marvel Comics. This was sort of teased in Nelson's final moments on screen in "The Incredible Hulk," with some of the tainted Hulk blood dripping on his face, making it large and swollen, much like the character in the comics. Leader first appeared in "Tales to Astonish" #62 back in 1964 and...

This week on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the reintroduction of Baron Zemo ultimately led to two other blasts from the MCU past.

This week on Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam and Bucky reunited in the wake of a new Captain America being unveiled. Is their biggest adversary now themselves, the Flag-Smashers, or Cap himself?
To start, we got to know a bit about the new Captain America, John Walker, during his sitdown with GMA‘s Sara Haines on the football field of his high school alma mater. He’s a husband (to Olivia), a decorated war hero (who only weeks ago was prepping a special ops team for a mission in Chile), and a rather elite, non-enhanced physical specimen.

It looks like John Boyega will eventually get his chance to star in a Marvel movie. With the relationship that he was with Disney through his work on the Star Wars films, trying to include him in the McU was bound to happen. Now, it seems like the process has started to make it happen. According to BoundingIntoComics:
"Boyega revealed that he's had meetings with Marvel about potentially taking on a Marvel superhero."
The report goes on to say that the superhero role he would be taking on would be "way down the line, and most likely wouldn't be happening in the near future."
There's no word on who Marvel is looking to have him play, but a lot of fans have thought that he would make a great Blade, which I can't argue with. It's not hard to imagine Boyega in the role of Blade. He could totally pull it off!
