After the heaviness of the previous episode, Will Trent will return to heartwarming drama, levity, and humor in this upcoming installment.
The series excels at balancing both kinds of cases and character arcs, and spoilers for Will Trent Season 2 Episode 6 tease that Will will finally meet and connect with his long-lost uncle, Antonio Miranda.
Elsewhere in the episode, the Gbi and the Apd team up to solve a judge's murder, so they work together for two episodes in a row. From the spoiler photos, this case looks entertaining.
At the end of Will Trent Season 2 Episode 5, Will's Uncle Antonio reached out to him. Antonio Miranda is as curious about his nephew as Will is about him.
John Ortiz guest-stars as Antonio Miranda, who seems kind and charismatic and is eager to bond with Will.
While I'm anxious for Will to have a positive male role model, it feels like Lucy's brother got a total rewrite.

ABC's Will Trent has been a hit since the series began in January.
We love book-to-screen adaptations, and Will Trent Season 1 excelled at building character development, intriguing cases, and strong relationships.
The problem was that only a select few cases followed cases from the books, and the diehard fans knew it.
So what becomes more important -- staying true to the characters or the cases?
In reality, it's probably a combination of both, so we'll analyze what book aspects the series has incorporated well and what we hope they'll include in future seasons.
Book Aspects Incorporated in Will Trent Season 1
Will Trent has balanced incorporating key book aspects and layering characters beautifully. They've made Angie and Amanda more likable by casting excellent actresses like Erika Christensen and Sonja Sohn and softening their personalities.
The Will Trent Series premiere kicked off with the infamous kidnapping of Paul and Abigail Campano's daughter.

It’s challenging adapting a best-selling series into a television series, but Will Trent found the delicate balance.
The series balanced, featuring case-of-the weeks pulled from the novels while developing the characters and their arcs. While not everything was exactly like books, the heart of the characters remained, especially Will and Faith.
When these storylines delved into the emotional backstories, the viewers became more invested and were excited to see what’s next in Will Trent Season 2.
What Were the Highlights of Will Trent Season 1?
In Will Trent Season 1, the series focused on introducing the title character and exploring how Will’s traumatic past in foster care affected his relationships and how he solved cases as a Special Agent in the Gbi.
Not many series featured a dyslexic agent, so seeing Will’s hyper-focus on details was fascinating. In the first case in Will Trent Season 1 Episode 1, Will realized that...

The finale of ABC’s Season 1 crime drama Will Trent was completely worth the wait that the showrunners put us through in the weeks in between. The penultimate episode ended with Will Trent’s girlfriend, Angie Pulaski, getting kidnapped by a psycho killer who’s been active since 1986. His M.O. had been murdering sex workers and sewing their mouths shut, and he’d made a return. As the entire Gbi and Apd start looking for Detective Angie Pulaski, the tension reaches a crescendo. Is Trent able to catch the killer, and does Angie survive? Find out what happens in the Will Trent season finale.

In the 12th episode of ABC’s season 1 of the crime drama series “Will Trent,” we witnessed a blast from the past when a spate of killings in the present day turned out to be similar to that of a horror in 1986, when the killer picked a unique group of victims. We also witnessed the younger selves of Amanda Wagner and Faith’s mother, Evelyn Mitchell, when they were cops in their prime and trying to keep the downtrodden safe in a world full of cruelty. In the story so far, Angie was in the hospital after injuring herself to cover up how the molester Lenny Broussard had been stabbed to death by his stepdaughter Crystal, and Trent was helping her move. This episode ties in multiple breadcrumbs spread throughout the season, and here’s how everything is tied down.

The tenth episode of ABC’s crime drama “Will Trent” dropped today, and with each episode, we not only find out more details about the eponymous detective and his life but also the ones around him. This episode is especially remarkable because it’s the first time we see Det. Faith Mitchell’s mother, Evelyn, whom we’ve only heard of since Episode 1, turn up to help her daughter. The last we saw of the young detective, she shot dead the corrupt officer Tate Grillo in “Will Trent” Episode 9, and she’s not in a good place mentally. We also learned that Angie Polaski’s abuser, Lenny Broussard, who pretended to be a good guy, hadn’t changed after all, and this really bothered her. Is Evelyn able to help her daughter when she’s refusing help of any kind, and have Angie’s greatest fears been proven true? Here...

The past haunted several main characters on Will Trent Season 1 Episode 10.
Both Will and Angie were reminded of their time in foster care, and Evelyn Mitchell visited her daughter and confronted Will and Amanda about how she was arrested months ago.
Some of our beloved characters had moved on from their pasts, while others spiraled out of control.
After a massive shooting at a trailer park, Will found a young boy hidden in one of the trailers. These two immediately bonded as Will tried to shield him from the bodies and blood.
I love how Will used chicken nuggets and fries to get the boy to describe the crime scene and how that made the boy comfortable enough to admit there was a third bad guy. Will put the little kid right at ease.
I loved Amanda in "Pterodactyls Can Fly." She's generally tough but melted and helped Will with the young boy.

Amazon Studios continues to expand its feature film development slate with two new projects that couldn’t be more different, yet both come from very personal experiences. One is a charming romantic comedy featuring libidinous seniors and the other is a science fiction/fantasy adventure that has nightmares crossing over into the real world.
Andrew Wasif came up with the idea for The 70-Year Itch from regular visits to his grandparents’ and great uncles’ at their apartment in an independent living facility for active seniors. “It was like a dorm for the elderly,” he said.
James Abrams also got his idea for Dreamcatchers from visits, but of a different kind – regular, intense nightmares he suffered when he contracted the H1N1 virus. “The story follows a traditional structure as it is pretty much a hero’s journey, but the genesis came from this very crazy experience that I had. “
