It’s already been a busy week for the upcoming Cannes film market, with new films from Julia Ducournau, Romain Gavras, and Panos Cosmatos entering the fray. But what about something lighter than those three, which, considering their directors, will all be audacious in their own ways? “Takes One To Know One” may fit the bill there, as Deadline reports that CAA Media Finance and Cornerstone have the upcoming romance ready for sales on the Croisette once the Cannes Film Festival gets underway in eleven days.

“Outwardly, he gives the impression that he doesn’t care very much,” Gary Oldman recently said about portraying a disgraced MI5 agent on the acclaimed AppleTV+ spy drama “Slow Horses,” explaining that underneath his disheveled exterior, there’s so much more to the man than what meets the eye. “He’s unkempt, and he uses it to play a game. It’s a defense mechanism, and I would say he cares a lot more than most.”
Oldman is mesmerizing in “Slow Horses” as the aloof and often contemptuous Jackson Lamb. He is truly captivating every time he’s on screen. So, a brilliant performance deserves a brilliant Emmy campaign. The long-awaited release of two new trailers, one Black and one Green, has heightened anticipation as both groups prepare for a brutal conflict. Inspired by George Rr Martin’s novel The Princess and the Queen, HBO, the trailer spotlights Princess Rhaenyra and Queen Alicent’s ruthless plans portrayed by Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke, respectively.

Are you Team Green or Team Black?
HBO has released two new trailers for the upcoming second season of its “Game of Thrones” spinoff series “House of the Dragon.”
The new trailers, which set the series’ return on the cabler and Max late this spring, respectively focus on Princess Rhaenrya Targaryen (played by Emma D’Arcy), Prince Daemon (Matt Smith), and their black faction, and on Alicent Hightower’s (Olivia Cooke) green King’s Landing team of Alicent.
The fantasy drama series, based on author George R.R. Martin’s book “Fire & Blood,” details the history of House Targaryen nearly 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones.” Season 1 followed Rhaenyra in her fight to be named the chosen heir of King Viserys I (Patty Considine) and the lead-up to the Dance of the Dragons.

HBO’s confirmed a June 16, 2024 premiere date for House of the Dragon season two and released the first-ever “dueling” trailers. Viewers are asked to choose a side in the war between House Targaryen (#TeamBlack) and House Hightower (#TeamGreen), and then watch the trailer dedicated to their chosen allegiance.
“Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. As each side believes theirs to be the rightful seat on the Iron Throne, the Green and Black trailers reflect those two perspectives in separate yet complementary halves of the same story,” reads HBO’s press release. “For global audiences, ‘All Must Choose’ their side of House Targaryen as the realm fractures in season two.”

Combining George R.R. Martin’s expansive imagination with Warner Bros. Discovery’s equally expansive marketing budget has turned out to be one of pop culture’s great cheat codes.
HBO has announced the official release date for House of the Dragon season 2 and it’s done so in particularly grand fashion. That’s because the announcement was accompanied not just by one trailer but by two. In honor of the show’s plot about the Dance of the Dragons civil war fought between two Targaryen factions, HBO is inviting viewers to choose the trailer experience that most closely corresponds to their “side.”
First up is the “Green Trailer” for those who are inclined to support Aegon II’s (Tom Glynn-Carney) claim to the Iron Throne.
Then there is the “Black Trailer” for supporters of Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) on Dragonstone, Viserys I’s eldest daughter and the would-be first female monarch of the Seven Kingdoms.

House of the Dragon season two dropped dueling trailers Thursday, prompting fans to choose between the black trailer, focusing on Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), or the green one, which puts Alicent (Olivia Cooke) at the forefront.
Rhaenyra’s trailer focuses on her, Prince Daemon (Matt Smith) and their Dragonstone forces, while the green puts King Landing’s team of Alicent, Otto (Rhys Ifans) and her children — King Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) and Prince Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) — at the forefront. This season of the Emmy-nominated show will begin the Targaryen’s civil war, also known as the Dance of the Dragons.

Are you Team Black or Team Green? That's the question posed by the official House of the Dragon Season 2 trailers — yes, plural — which preview the bloody civil war between Targaryen heirs Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) and her half-brother Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney). In a first, HBO has released dueling trailers for the new season, giving fans an opportunity to see the action from the perspective of both Rhaenyra's Black Council and Aegon's Green Council, so named for his allegiance to the house of his mother, Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke).

“House of the Dragon” is asking viewers to pick a side in Season 2: Rhaenyra’s black faction or Alicent’s green team?
HBO dropped two unique trailers Thursday for Season 2, which premieres on June 16. One trailer focuses on Rhaenrya, Prince Daemon and their forces on Dragonstone, and the other is centered on the King’s Landing team of Alicent, her father Otto and her children King Aegon and Prince Aemond. Taking place 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” Season 2 of “House of the Dragon” will officially mark the start of the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war.
In the wake of the Season 1 finale, in which Aemond murders Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys and his dragon, war is imminent in Westeros. The blacks and the greens are both gathering their forces, dragons and new allies to face off in a bloody, fiery battle to the death.

A vengeful war begins in HBO‘s House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer, and the series is making viewers pick a side between the Blacks (House Targaryen) and the Greens (House Hightower). There are two dueling trailers, one for each house that favors their sides’ perspectives in this familial war. The trailers reveal the official House of the Dragon Season 2 release date: Sunday, June 16. Premiering this June, House of the Dragon is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood. The series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen, now led by Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) following the slow death of her father, King Viserys (Paddy Considine), at the end of Season 1. There were “errors made in the hours following King Viserys’ death,” the first teaser ominously stated. Every time a Targaryen is born, to paraphrase a memorable line from fantasy author George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire," the gods toss the coin in the air and the world holds its breath to see how it will land. This, of course, refers to the uniquely Targaryen penchant for instability that we caught a brief but violent glimpse of throughout "Game of Thrones" -- as it turns out, centuries of incestuous marriage traditions will have that effect -- but that was nothing compared to the relentless display of fire and blood in season 1 of "House of the Dragon." HBO's prequel series was set 200 years before the events of the original, back when the Targaryen dynasty had reached its zenith and spread its influence across the continent of Westeros. And despite concerns that the divisive final season of "Game of Thrones" might turn viewers off from...
