The Voice UK winner Jermain Jackman has stated that he doesn't feel any pressure to succeed, drawing comparisons to the prime minister.
Jackman said that he isn't concerned with what previous winners of the BBC singing show have achieved, instead concentrating on his own career, reports BBC Newsbeat.
"I'm just focusing on what I'm doing," he explained. "It's like the president or prime minister - he's not going to focus on what his predecessors have done.
"He is going to focus on what he's going to do to change, and that's what I'm going to focus on."
The Voice UK has been criticised in the past for not producing any enduring stars.
Leanne Mitchell, who won the 2012 series, was dropped by her label earlier this year after failing to make the top 100 with her debut album.
Andrea Begley, last year's winner, managed to enter the top 10 with her album. However,...

You've got to feel a bit sorry for Jermain Jackman. When he was announced as the winner of The Voice 2014 - to much confetti and fanfare - the overwhelming reaction was one of, well, surprise. He wasn't the Digital Spy favourite (Christina Marie). He wasn't the bookies' favourite (Sally Barker). But he was the winner.
Now that the dust has settled a little, though, could Jermain actually be just the winner that The Voice needs? We've heard plenty of slightly mean-spirited snark about how The Voice is yet to produce a star - Leanne Mitchell and Andrea Begley, the first two champions, have so far failed to set the charts alight.
The Voice's future is secure, at least for now - two more series have been ordered by the BBC - but its credibility could begin to be questioned if it doesn't start spinning out successes soon. This is...

This year's Voice UK finalists have said they are determined not to turn out like previous winners.
The first series of the show was won by Leanne Mitchell who has since failed to have a hit song. Andrea Begley went on to win the second series, but has also failed to storm the charts.
Jamie Johnson, who is the final remaining member of Team Kylie, told The Sun that the former winners hadn't worked hard enough to become successful.
"None of us are Andrea," he said. "You don't stop trying after The Voice and just become a star. It doesn't work like that.
"You have to keep grabbing for things. The record label is not going to just say you are playing at the O2 and 20,000 tickets have been sold."
Christina Marie Wickens added: "You have to keep going and do all the promo stuff. You can't expect somebody to do it for you.

Sally Barker is the favourite to win The Voice UK.
There are just four finalists left in the BBC singing contest all hoping to be crowned the 2014 winner.
Bookmaker Boylesports have given Tom Jones's representative Barker odds of 11/8 in the run-up to tomorrow's final, with Ricky Wilson's Christina Marie second favourite at 6/4.
Kylie Minogue's act Jamie Johnson follows at 5/1, with will.i.am's hopeful Jermain Jackman currently being placed as the outsider at 6/1.
Barker is thought to have been the odds-on favourite for a number of weeks, and her triumph would result in a second win for Team Tom (who was victorious in series one with Leanne Mitchell).
Barker is thought to be performing 'Both Sides, Now' by Joni Mitchell as her final solo song and her duet with Jones is rumoured to be 'Walking In Memphis' by Marc Cohn.

The Voice coach Ricky Wilson has suggested that the show's previous winners Leanne Mitchell and Andrea Begley didn't work hard enough for success.
Begley and Mitchell have failed to make much of an impact on the charts but Wilson has now told the Radio Times that he believes they could have done more.
"They didn't see it through," he said. "That sounds harsh, but it's not like you go straight to number one when you get a record deal. That's where the hard work starts."
Wilson - whose last remaining team member is Christina Marie - added that he would fight for his acts if they won the show, saying: "I'd be marching them into my label, Universal, and I wouldn't give up until something happened."

The Voice UK winner Andrea Begley has called for the show's Battle Rounds to be axed from its next series.
The show's reigning champion argued that the head-to-head contests can be "offputting" for viewers as hopefuls attempt to "oversing [each] other".
Speaking to Digital Spy, Begley said: "I think sometimes the format in the middle, the Battles and stuff, people find a little bit offputting. I'd say that's what the producers are usually scratching their heads over.
"In some ways the performance of the song can suffer because one party's trying to oversing the other, and I don't necessarily know if that works sometimes.
"I think maybe sticking to the Knockouts and maybe reducing the Battles or getting rid of them is the way to go. For me, it's the part that if I was sitting back as a viewer I would like the least."

The BBC has played down speculation that Sir Tom Jones is about to quit The Voice UK.
The coach, who won the first series with Leanne Mitchell, was reportedly planning to bow out of the show following the departures of Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue.
The Sun claimed that Wall to Wall, which produces the show for the BBC, is in last-minute talks with the singer's representatives in a bid to secure him for another series.
Bosses apparently feared that will.i.am, who is rumoured to be joining American Idol, would also leave if he becomes the last remaining original coach.
However, a BBC spokesperson said: "It is not true that either Tom or will have decided to leave. The line-up is still to be confirmed and we are in ongoing conversations."

Sir Elton John has criticised The Voice for producing "nonentities".
The pop icon slammed the talent show format on both sides of the Atlantic for focusing too much on the coaches and not the contestants.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Front Row, he said: "The Voice is all about watching the judges, it is in America.
"Nobody on The Voice in America has had a hit record. Nobody on The Voice in England has had a hit record - they're nonentities."
John also criticised talent shows in general for putting hopefuls in the limelight too quickly.
"Television and video have done a lot of damage to music. They've propelled people into stardom that aren't ready for it, you know, and can't sustain it. And they're only as good as the next song.
"I hate that. I hate people being cast aside. It breaks my heart to see people like Michelle McManus...

Pictures show the rapper preparing with Leah McFall for a duet performance of his latest track 'Bang Bang', which features on the Great Gatsby soundtrack.

A source from the show said: "Will's tapping was yet another revelation from the man of many talents! But because he freestyles it, he did lose his footing and roll his ankle. But he won't let it stop him doing it for the grand final.
"He has had it strapped up by medics on site to keep it supported until tonight. We're confident he'll be fine to bust out his tap moves live on the show. He doesn't want to let Leah down."

The Voice UK's coaches have promised to put everything into making this year's winner a chart success.
Last year's victor Leanne Mitchell released her debut album last month, with little promotional support from label Universal. The LP sold just 900 copies and entered at number 134 on the album chart.
As the acts prepare for this evening's live final, the Daily Record reports that mentors Jessie J, Tom Jones, Danny O'Donoghue and will.i.am are planning to throw their weight behind the winner.
Jessie J reportedly intends to manage Matt Henry after the show ends, saying that she has "learned more" about the process through the current series.
She said: "I've learned more. I've made notes so we can say to the label, 'This is what we want to do'. I feel like his manager. I've been a huge part of his journey to this point. I will not back down.

The Voice UK mentor Danny O'Donoghue has stated that hopefuls on the show need more than a good singing voice to succeed.
The Script frontman explained that their voice is "the tip of the iceberg" as artists usually spend around 5% of their careers performing.
"There are some amazing singers on the show. But although they have a great skill, that's the tip of the iceberg," he is quoted as saying in The Sun.
"It's about how well-rounded they are. We only get to sing for about 5% of our careers.
"The rest of it is how you conduct yourself, your plans."
O'Donoghue stated that acts on the show should not rely on their mentors to have a successful career after the series.
"The misconception is that it's up to me to make my acts famous, but we're not a record company. We don't have loads of money to be throwing around on acts.

However, he did describe her single 'If I Knew Then' as "great", Now magazine reports.
The 'Sex Bomb' singer mentored Mitchell to victory on the first series of The Voice UK but she has failed to achieve success since winning the series.
Her self-titled debut LP sold fewer than 1,000 copies in its first week on sale and only managed number 134 on the UK album chart.

The Voice UK winner Leanne Mitchell has hit back at claims that she is making her living from performing at birthday parties.
It was reported earlier today that Mitchell had told The Sun that she has performed at parties but has "no big performances planned at present".
However, the singer took to Twitter to deny the claims, saying that she will not "keep defending" herself about her career since winning the BBC singing show.
She said: "Ok, just to clear things up... I haven't actually sang at Any 'birthday parties'..?! I haven't been out 'gigging' as I wanted to 100% focus on writing my album.
"However, I did perform in front of Prince Harry last year, does that count as a 'birthday party'??

Leanne Mitchell, winner of the first series of The Voice, has admitted that she is making a living by singing at parties.
Mitchell's debut single 'Run to You' failed to make the Top 40.
She told The Sun: "I've done a couple of birthday parties since The Voice.
"I've no big performances planned at present."
She also revealed that the only time she has seen her mentor Tom Jones is at his gigs.
Mitchell will release her debut album on May 27. She said of the record: "I wanted to get it right. I hope people give it a chance."
will.i.am recently criticised Universal music for the way it handled Mitchell's career.

Jessie J has denied claims that she is a "diva", insisting that she has "grown up" since turning 25.

Danny O'Donoghue has emerged as the early favourite to be the winning coach on this year's series of The Voice UK.
Ladbrokes have installed the Script singer as the early 2/1 favourite to lead an act to victory, according to Metro.
He is currently ahead of Jessie J in second, with Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am currently in joint third.
Jessie J has current odds of 11/4 to be this year's winning coach, while Jones and will.i.am share odds of 3/1.
It was Sir Tom Jones who took the title of winning coach on last year's series, with his act Leanne Mitchell taking the crown. However, O'Donoghue has already set his sights on him.
The 32-year-old recently said: "I kind of need to up my game. I don't want Sir Tom to win again!"

When did primetime fluffy Saturday night TV suddenly turn into an evening of music industry A&R mechanics?
At some point over the last decade's long slog of Pop Idols, Britain's Got Talents, Fame Academies and nine series of X Factor, the emphasis switched from light entertainment to record sales.
Watching recent series of X Factor, it's occasionally felt like we were watching a meeting between record execs rather than a glossy family TV spectacle. The fearsome annihilation of cruise ship warbler Christopher Maloney by the producers and judges felt like a tipping point in the show's history as the singer's crime of being 'not very cool' seemed to excuse no-holds barred treatment of the blubbering Liverpudlian.
When the voting results were revealed, it turned out that Maloney had been topping the votes since week one. Despite a hammering from the judges and all the cool credentials of tattooed grumble-guts James Arthur,...

will.i.am has hit out at Universal Music for their handling of Leanne Mitchell's career after winning The Voice UK.
Mitchell struggled in the charts after the first series ended, only reaching number 45 with 'Run to You', a cover she performed on the BBC One show's final.
The Black Eyed Peas star said that the handling of Mitchell had been done in a way which would have been appropriate "five years ago".
"I don't think people were considering today's behaviour and how we digest content. It was television five years ago. I hope we've learned from that because I'm part of this show. I hope the label that the artists have to go with have learned from it," said will.
"So with this year's winner, we already have songs ready to go. The label need to have an understanding of what the market is thirsting for and yearning for.
