- Jackson Martin was born in London, Ontario, Canada, where he attended a french speaking elementary school. He started modeling and acting at the age of 8 in the Toronto and surrounding areas. He has appeared in multiple magazine and advertising campaigns throughout his modeling career. He filmed his first commercial for SC Johnsons Company, exposing him to his first professional film shoot.
At the age of 11, he decided to concentrate his future career in the film and television industry. His film debut came later that same year starting out with small parts in student films and independent productions. His natural acting and emotional abilities began to land him multiple lead and supporting roles. In "Knowing Falcon Man", (director Matthew Scatterty) Jack played a young boy Stuart, who develops a friendship with the self-appointed super hero of his town, "Falcon Man". It is this friendship that Falcon Man has with Stuart that pulls him through the dark times in his life.
Jackson has continued to work non-stop learning and growing in his craft, including a workshop with famed casting director Howard Meltzer. He has been building a reputation as a respectable and professional young actor that displays a confidence and maturity far beyond his years.
In 2012 Jackson was chosen to play the supporting role of "Blue Michael" in his first feature film "The Mechanical Boy", (director Bruce Locke) a fantasy drama where he plays a strange, all knowing character with a twist, in a place that lies somewhere between freedom and madness. He moved onto the leading role of Boy in the independent short "Boy" (director Melanie Chung) where he plays a young boy with a deceased father and an alcoholic mother, who has been left to fend for himself and his 6-year-old brother and do whatever means necessary to protect themselves.
