Molly Kadarauch - Musician: cello
is well known as one of Australia's pre-eminent and versatile cellists, and has performed at leading venues all over the world as well as within Australia as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player. She is a founding member of Sutherland Trio with Caroline Almonte (piano) and Elizabeth Sellars (violin) who perform regularly at the Melbourne Recital Centre and for ABC Classic FM and 3MBS radio. Between 1996-2003 she was a core member and an associate principal cellist of the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) and has also appeared as guest principal with the Melbourne Symphony, Sydney Symphony, Tasmanian Symphony, Orchestra Victoria, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and overseas with the Auckland Philharmonia. She also appeared as a soloist with the Melbourne Musicians, soloist and director with Orchestra 21, the Melbourne Bach Choir and was a guest performing artist in the 2017 Melbourne Cello Festival. Other international recital appearances have included Chateau d'Orion (France), Gualala Arts (California), and Burg Guttenburg (Germany).
In 2016 she toured all over Australia with the acclaimed new Musica Viva/ Victorian Opera production of the pastiche opera "Voyage to the Moon", and in 2017 was the cellist on stage for the new one-woman musical "Vigil" commissioned for the Adelaide Cabaret festival with music by Joe Chindamo, lyrics by Steve Vizard and starring Christie Whelan-Browne. Recently Molly performed music by Burkhard Dalwitz for the SBS drama series "Sunshine", aired in October 2017.
