Season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race featured the largest cast of queens in the show’s history, as 16 queens came together to compete for the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar and a massive grand prize of 200,000. But despite it being a larger-than-life season, much of Season 15‘s first half contained episodes that were compressed into one hour (with commercials), as opposed to the 90-minute episodes that have been the standard since Season 10. Now, after an outcry from fans, 90-minute Drag Race episodes are back.

Joe Marler is taking part in ITV’s one-off special Queens for the Night.
The programme will see celebrities, including EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt and Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson, transform into their own drag characters.
Marley, an international rugby star who has played for England 83 times, will appear as Trixie Turnover on the episode.
Speaking about his decision to sign up, the 32-year-old Harlequins prop told ITV: “I want to try something different, get out of my comfort zone and why not try drag. It’s great fun.”
He continued: “I think there’s lots of different qualities you need to be successful in drag. Strong calves are probably up there, but the main one is the ability to free yourself up, let yourself go and just go with the character as much as you can. You can’t panic too much about what people are going to think.

The queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK have led tributes to George Ward, known by his drag name Cherry Valentine, following his sudden death aged 28.
In a statement shared on Friday (23 September), Ward’s family confirmed that the performer and Drag Race UK star had died on Sunday (18 September).
“It is with the most heart-wrenching and deepest sadness to inform you that our George – Cherry Valentine – has tragically passed away,” they wrote.
“This will come as a profound shock to most people and we understand there is no easy way for this to be announced. As his family, we are still processing his death and our lives will never be the same.”
Ward, who hailed from Darlington and was a member of the Traveller community, competed on the second series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2021. As well as performing in drag, he worked as a mental health nurse within the NHS.
