Pride Live, a social advocacy and community engagement organization for the LGBTQ+ community, today announced its fourth annual Stonewall Day, a global campaign to elevate awareness and support for the Stonewall legacy and the continuing fight for full LGBTQ+ equality.
This year, Pride Live teams up with Outloud: Raising Voices, the award-winning Lgbtqia+ Pride artist series, to kick off Pride month with a three-day, one-of-a-kind global concert experience to be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in the heart of Los Angeles. June 4-6. Stonewall Day takes place on Sunday, June 6.
Tickets for the in-person event, which will closely follow all Los Angeles County health and safety protocols, are available at Ticketmaster. For Outfest LA’s digital space, Tony Award-winning John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) will host a livestream marathon listening party of his critically acclaimed musical podcast, Anthem: Homunculus with performances from himself, Glenn Close, Cynthia Erivo, Patti LuPone, Nakhane, Denis O’Hare, Laurie Anderson, among others. Hannah Hart is putting together a Pride Month bash that will support a noble cause. Hart, a notable member of YouTube's Lgbtq+ community and a GLAAD board member, will team up with GLAAD, YouTube Space La, BuzzFeed, and Into for Pride Live, a star-studded variety show that will aim to raise $50,000 for GLAAD initiatives.
Pride Live, which will air on GLAAD's YouTube channel between 3 and 6 Pm Et on June 29, will be styled like a live telethon. During the broadcast, viewers will be able to use YouTube's Super Chat feature to contribute donations. The goal is to raise $50,000, with all of the proceeds going to youth-focused GLAAD initiatives like Amplify Your Voice.
