Turns out Jeff Ross likely knew there might be friction if he told that Robert Kraft joke during Netflix’s live The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.
Comedian Andrew Schulz, who also participated in the event, says they were all warned away from the subject of the 2019 incident where the Patriots owner was accused of soliciting prostitution at a massage parlor in Florida.
“When Tom checked Jeff Ross, I think that was 100 percent real,” offered Schulz in a new interview. “The reason why I think it’s real is because they told us, ‘No jokes about happy endings with Bob Kraft.’ “
Ross, it seems, went for it anyway.
“So Tom became a Patriot and moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft’s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made.

Comedian Andrew Schulz revealed on the “Flagrant” interview series that he was instructed not to make jokes at Netflix’s Tom Brady roast related to Robert Kraft’s 2019 arrest for soliciting prostitution in a Florida massage parlor. Charges against Kraft were dropped the following year. When Kraft’s attendance was confirmed at the event, roasters were allegedly told not to make jokes about “happy endings” in relation to the Patriots owners.
“When Tom checked Jeff Ross, I think that was 100% real,” Schulz said. “The reason why I think it’s real is because they told us no jokes about happy endings with Bob Kraft. I had a Bob Kraft [joke] … Tom asked us not to do anything with the massage shit.”

Kim Kardashian was met with resounding boos at Netflix’s roast of Tom Brady — but you’d never know it unless you watched it live.
The streamer has edited out the portion of the roast where Kardashian was booed, TVLine has confirmed. (The Hollywood Reporter first noted the change.) In Sunday’s original live broadcast, Kardashian was booed loudly as she took the stage at the roast, stopping midway through her first joke to glare at the crowd as several of her fellow roasters came to her defense. But in the version currently streaming on Netflix, the booing is nowhere to be found.

17,000 fans. The reunion of an American football dynasty and the coach no one expected to show. Televised live around the world while the reputation of a man considered “the greatest of all time” sits in the hands of savage comedians and one-time foes. What could go wrong?
But here we are, just days after Tom Brady took to the stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles for Sunday’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time,” and the walls are still standing. For decades roast comedy has been a beloved national tradition, once shepherded on TV by Comedy Central. It was a show that often targeted Hollywood legends or zeitgeist icons. It took the willingness of Brady, who holds a record 7 Super Bowl rings, to reinvigorate the format for streaming under host Kevin Hart. And not just any roast, which would typically be shot on a Hollywood backlot and edited ahead of its premiere.

The televised roast is one of the most unique and controversial forms of comedy the American entertainment industry has helped popularize. For decades now, public figures from all walks of life have willingly sat in front of an audience of their peers and the general public and allowed seasoned comics to mercilessly mock various aspects of their lives and careers.
The latest public figure to join this tradition is football legend Tom Brady. The star NFL athlete was the subject of a roast by a set of comics led by Kevin Hart and Jeff Ross. Unfortunately, aspects of the roast are said to have disappointed Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. The popular supermodel is said to feel that the way the roast played out once again proved that Brady cares more about his career than their time together.

The event also featured surprise guests including Ben Affleck, Will Farrell, and Kim Kardashian. When the latter came on stage, the audience booed her and Kardashian had to wait for the crowd to calm down. It seems Netflix has now removed that part of the show and fans are voicing their opinions about whether this was the right thing to do.

Nikki Glaser is giving her take on the viral moment between Tom Brady and Jeff Ross during The Greatest Roast of All Time.
As the roast kicked off on Netflix, Ross mentioned an incident involving Patriots owner Robert Kraft that triggered Brady to get off his seat and tell the “Roastmaster General” not to “say that sh** again.”
Glaser, one of the featured comedians, is now sounding off on that confrontation.
“I believe that was for real,” Glaser said on The Howard Stern Show. “Robert Kraft was not a confirmed guest to be there. I didn’t know he was going to be there until I was there. And I knew everyone else. I was like, ‘Oh my god, Robert Kraft’s here?’ Because I think there was a vibe that Robert Kraft is kind of like a dad figure to Tom, he doesn’t want to sit here and...

Nikki Glaser, one of the standouts from Netflix’s Tom Brady roast, has revealed that she didn’t get to deliver every joke she had planned during the live comedy event.
During an interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show following the roast, the comedian and actress, who earned widespread praise for her set, shared some of the punchlines the audience missed on Sunday night.
“Tom, I love your work — you’ve done on your face,” read one of Glaser’s jokes about the football star’s alleged plastic surgery that she cut. “Seriously, slow down. What is happening with your cheeks? You look like a Ken doll that was microwaved. You love deflating things, stop.”
The FGirl Island star said she also cut a joke about Cte (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), a progressive degenerative disease affecting many NFL players who have suffered repeated concussions and traumatic brain injuries.

Kim Kardashian getting booed during The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady has been edited out by Netflix.
The entrepreneur and reality TV star was one of the celebrities who roasted the NFL legend on the Netflix special but was greeted with boos from the audience in attendance Sunday at the Kia Forum near Los Angeles.
Host Kevin Hart introduced Kardashian, and as the Kardashians star took the podium, she thanked the comedian and paused after the initial cheers. The cheers then turned to boos, prompting Kardashian to say, “All right, all right, all right.”

Sunday’s live Tom Brady Netflix roast quickly made headlines when comedian Jeff Ross made a joke that alluded to Patriots owner Robert Kraft being charged with soliciting prostitution after an investigation into massage parlors in Florida.
Though Brady told Ross at the podium, “don’t say that shit again,” Ross now says the NFL star wasn’t that upset about the joke.
During the Netflix special, Ross said of Brady’s early days with the Patriots, “So Tom became a Patriot and moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft‘s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made. Would you like a massage?’”

Today on Howard Stern, comedian Nikki Glaser revealed the jokes she held back on during Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time last weekend.
“Tom, I love your work — that you’ve done on your face,” said Glaser reading one of her cut jokes to Stern.
“Seriously, slow down,” she said, referencing gossip that Brady has had work done. “What is happening with your cheeks? You look like a Ken doll that was microwaved. You love deflating things, so stop.”
The comedian also had a joke about the NFL and Cte at the ready, alleging a massive coverup all “for the sake of men hugging each other in a Buffalo Wild Wings.”

Gisele Bündchen is said to be furious about jokes made about her marriage to Tom Brady during the NFL legend’s Netflix roast which took place this past Sunday. A source told People, “[Bündchen] is deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evening’s roast show.” On Sunday, May 5, the seven-time Super Bowl champion was the latest guest on Netflix’s comedy special, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which took place at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The live event was hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, and saw Kim Kardashian, Nikki Glaser, Robert Kraft, Jeff Ross, and Will Ferrell take the stage to brutally roast Brady about all aspects of his life. Hart first mocked Brady about Bündchen’s new boyfriend, her jiu-jitsu coach Joaquim Valente. Glaser also made fun of Brady’s divorce: “You have seven rings. Well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back.

One of the most viral moments to emerge out of Tom Brady’s Netflix roast was when the NFL icon got up from his seat and told off roaster Jeff Ross after the comedian made a massage joke about Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Brady was heard telling Ross: “Don’t say that shit again.” But according to Ross, Brady was not actually pissed off at him.
“Come on, come on, no way, no way,” Ross said on “The Rich Eisen Show,” downplaying that Brady got angry at him for the Kraft massage joke. “He was having fun. You know, it’s like that’s his dad. Tom Brady may be the greatest of all time, but his roast wasn’t. The thing is, it maybe could have been.
Netflix is all about eventizing these days, and probably the easiest way to do that — outside of sports rights — is live programming. Sunday’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady,” had plenty of sports and too much live-ness for its own good.
The roast began at 8 p.m. Et/5 p.m. Pt, and proceeded to run, non-stop, for more than three hours. Never have commercials on Netflix been more needed. Or a video editor.
What was the point of doing this live? The danger, sure, but roasts are dangerous by their very nature. Live makes it an even thinner tightrope, we get that, but at what expense? The answer: enjoyment.

The Kia Forum hosted Netflix’s live special The Roast of Tom Brady on Sunday. Comedian Jeff Ross sparked an uncomfortable moment during his joke about New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and retired quarterback Tom Brady.
During his segment, Ross poked fun at Brady being the 199th NFL draft pick. “He sat there for days, waiting and waiting, and then you were finally picked in the sixth round when Bill Belichick’s dog stepped on the keyboard by accident,” Ross said.
Ross later said Brady told Kraft, “I’m the best decision your organization has ever made.” The audience laughed and applauded until Ross said, “Would you like a massage?”
The joke references Kraft’s 2019 Florida arrest for soliciting prostitution in a massage parlor. The charges were dropped a year later. Brady and the audience appeared uncomfortable. Brady sat front and center on stage while Kraft sat in the audience.

If there’s any truth to the old adage that history happens first as tragedy and then as farce, it was fitting that years of media sniping and public relitigation of the New England Patriots’ six Super Bowl wins culminated in Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and Robert Kraft doing shots together at a Netflix comedy festival.
When 9,100 fans made the trek to Los Angeles’ Kia Forum for “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady” (stylized as “The G.R.O.A.T”), they likely expected the mix of vicious insult comedy and cringe-inducing rebuttals that powered years of Comedy Central roasts. The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Bradywas less a roast than a torching. Somehow, Brady kept his blinding smile through all three hours of it.
The Groat, which streamed live as part of Netflix Is a Joke Fest from Inglewood, California, on Sunday night, was hosted by comedian Kevin Hart. He did not mince words, introducing the ceremony by asking if 49ers legend Joe Montana was in fact the Goat Qb being celebrated. Nope. It was indeed Brady, who earned seven Super Bowl wins over 23 seasons, mostly with the New England Patriots. And the Kia Forum suddenly looked a bit different to Hart, a noted Eagles fan: “Tom brought Boston with him,” he said. “I’ve never seen Inglewood so white.”
The proceedings moved on to roastmaster general Jeff Ross. He was no less brazen in his approach, arriving “straight from hell,” per Hart, on a carnival-like float dressed...

If you watch the new Netflix special, Groat’s The Greatest Roast Of All Time: Tom Brady, it will propel you to question the former National Football League legend Tom Brady. Why on Earth did you do it, Brady? Appearing on the show has certainly made him uncomfortable.

Amid other roasting experts, Kevin Hart came with perhaps the strongest dose, as he referred to Brazilian fashion model Gisele Bundchen, who is Brady’s ex-wife. The duo tied the knot with a vow to never be apart until it all ended in 2022 as the former couple divorced. However, for the roasters, making fun of it at Brady’s expense was just source materials for the show.

Tom Brady was a good, um, sport Sunday night, where he was roasted about all aspects of his life, from his former marriage to Gisele Bündchen to his role in deflategate.
Host Kevin Hart kicked off The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady by noting that the event would be focusing on the “greatest quarterback of all time.” “Wait, Joe Montana’s here?” he quipped. He went on to joke that the teleprompter should have included the qualifier “one of the” greatest quarterbacks ever in reference to Brady. “The greatest is Joe Montana,” he affirmed.
Hart also commented on the demographic makeup of the attendees inside the Kia Forum. “I’ve never seen Inglewood so white,” he quipped of the Los Angeles suburb where the venue is located. “It’s so fucking white in here. It looks like a Bruce Springsteen concert just let out. This used to be the home of the Lakers,...

It was a long night for Tom Brady at his live Netflix comedy roast, as it was for the rest of us watching from home.
Starting with a bloody Oj Simpson jersey and ending with Brady smashing an iPhone on stage, the Netflix live event, “The Greatest Roast of All-Time: Tom Brady,” honored the seven-time Super Bowl champion. The modern-day legend faced his biggest challenge yet: being roasted by comedians and his former NFL teammates.
At times hilarious and at others a bit cringe-worthy, the unedited live event was a lengthy affair that made one truly appreciate the editors of the Comedy Central roasts. Their task was to condense the content into a concise, entertaining 60-minute presentation. Here, bits went on far too long, and former football players had glazed looks in their eyes in the background. The comedians who do this for a living performed incredibly well, while the others…...

Tom Brady took the jokes in stride at his roast — well, most of them.
Amid jabs about Gisele Bündchen, deflategate and his good looks Sunday night, Brady bristled at one in particular, aimed at the Patriots’ 82-year-old owner, Robert Kraft.
During his turn onstage, Jeff Ross quipped: “So Tom became a Patriot and moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft‘s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made. Would you like a massage?’”
Brady then approached Ross, who’d blown a kiss Kraft’s way, and said in his ear: “Don’t say that shit again.” Ross replied, “Ok, Ok. He’s having fun, look at him. I love what you do for the Jews, Robert Kraft. You’re incredible.”

Actor Will Ferrell, dressed as his iconic Ron Burgundy character from “Anchorman,” brought the laughs at Netflix’s live roast of Tom Brady event in Los Angeles.
During the event, which was filled with jokes about Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bundchen and his “golden skin,” Ferrell targeted Brady’s NFL counterpart Eli Manning, the former New York Giants quarterback. He quipped, “You don’t see Eli Manning here tonight, do you? That’s cause Tom’s afraid of Eli Manning.” Ferrell then led the audience in chanting, “Eli Manning made Tom Brady his bitch,” drawing a blend of boos and enthusiastic participation.
Ferrell didn’t hold back in poking fun at Brady’s former Patriots coach, Bill Belichick, with jabs like, “Hey Bill, wherever you are, just know it was Tom, not you,” and a playful nod to Belichick’s current job status, “Bill, now that you’re currently unemployed,...

On Sunday, the Kia Forum and millions of viewers at home experienced great discomfort while watching Netflix’s live special of “The Roast of Tom Brady” when comedian Jeff Ross joked about Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, and Tom Brady, asking if Kraft wanted a massage.
Hosted by Kevin Hart, the event saw Jeff Ross, introduced as the roastmaster, entering the arena wearing a seemingly bloody No. 32 football jersey with the words “Roast J Simpson” on the back. “If the gloves don’t fit, you must talk shit,” Ross quipped.
Five minutes into his set, Ross delved into Brady’s career after being the 199th pick in the NFL draft. “He sat there for days, waiting and waiting, and then you were finally picked in the sixth round when Bill Belichick’s dog stepped on the keyboard by accident,” Ross joked.

Tom Brady agreed to be roasted in Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time, but one particular joke seemingly went too far for the future NFL Hall of Famer.

As the “Roastmaster General,” Ross came on stage to roast Brady, and one particular joke seemingly ticked off the former football player.
Ross was talking about how Brady was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the NFL draft and became the 199th overall pick.

Is there a rule book for comedy? It’s a question igniting fiery debates, especially in today’s era of “cancel culture” dictating the dos and don’ts of stand-up. But for Tony Hinchcliffe, the idea of conforming to these restrictions is as likely as finding a unicorn at a rodeo.
“There’s no room for victim mentality here,” Hinchcliffe tells Variety. “When you step into a dark, dingy comedy club, what do you want to see? Think about it like a strip club. Do you want to see girls in a dress? Or do you want to see nasty fucking shit? You want ping-pong balls flying at your head.”

Days Gone was an underrated PlayStation gem that was released in an underwhelming state back in 2019 but Bend Studio was able to bounce back and got the game to run smoothly on both PS4 and PS5 and eventually on PC.

In addition to Danes, the mystery thriller project, created, written and executive produced by Gabe Rotter, is executive produced by Jodie Foster, Conan O’Brien via Conaco and Homeland co-creator/executive producer Howard Gordon who will serve as showrunner, reuniting with the acclaimed series’ star/executive producer Danes. 20th Television is the studio; Gordon is no longer under a deal at Sony Pictures TV, which explains his involvement.
The surprising mix of big names attached to the series reflects its long, twisty path to the screen — indicative of how hard it often is to get a show made — which we will get into in a bit. The story may also inspire aspiring writers not to give up.

Netflix has ordered the limited series “The Beast in Me” with Claire Danes set to star, Variety has learned.
The series hails from writer Gabe Rotter, with Howard Gordon attached to serve as showrunner. The series reunites Gordon and Danes, as they previously worked together on the hit Showtime series “Homeland.” Danes starred in the series, which Gordon co-created and executive produced.
The official logline for “The Beast in Me” states, “Since the tragic death of her young son, acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs (Danes) has receded from public life, unable to write, a ghost of her former self. But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by Nile Sheldon, a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for...

“Abba Zabba, you my only friend!” Imagine they made a Half Baked 2. That sounds like a slam dunk, right? After all, the original didn’t set the box office on fire, but it’s presumably made a mint on home video. Well, it looks like Universal finally pulled the trigger on a Half Baked 2, but of the original cast, the only person to return is Rachel True, who played the love interest, Mary Jane. Yes folks, it happened, and the sequel, Half Baked: Totally High, is going straight to Blu-ray, with an April 16th release date.
All this begs the question, why, twenty-five years later, make a Half Baked sequel without either Dave Chappelle, an infinitely bigger star now than he was in 1998, and Jim Breuer? Chappelle, I kind of get – the man is busy and would probably cost millions and millions to get, but Jim Breuer? Could...

Conan O’Brien’s new international travel series Conan O’Brien Must Go will premiere on Max on Thursday, April 18, the comedian, podcaster and longtime late-night host unveiled today at SXSW. All four episodes will be available to stream.
Max and Conan announced the show last spring. “My fans around the globe never asked me to visit them, so I did,” the Emmy-winner quipped at the time.
It follows Conan as he travels far and wide, setting himself down in Norway, Thailand, Argentina and Ireland, to meet some of the people he had previously interviewed for his podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan — a spin-off of the popular podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend.
Some trailers and teasers of the global goofiness have emerged but today’s session “fireside chat” in a packed ballroom at the Austin Convention Center, rolled out “never before seen” footage — of him skewering stale food...
