On Friday, March 8, the seventh annual One Night for One Drop event at the “O” Theatre, presented by MGM Resorts International and Colgate, drew a star-studded crowd in support of the one-night-only soirée benefiting the One Drop Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to safe water and sanitation around the globe.
Imagined by Cirque du Soleil, One Night for One Drop mesmerized the sold-out audience with an emotional performance that took the spectators on an empathetic journey, drawing inspiration from human connection, friendship, beauty, nature, love and loss, in an aquatic ambiance.
The performance was co-written and directed by André Kasten and Leah Moyer, performed by Cirque du Soleil artists as well as celebrated performers including Keone and Mari from “World of Dance” and Las Vegas headliner Blue Man Group, presented alongside Academy Award-winner & world-renowned score composer Hans Zimmer and featured intricate choreography created by Alexander Ekman and Andrew Winghart.

'I wanted to do something big and wild and different. Something with water said choreographer Alexander Ekman and filled the Main Stage at the Oslo Opera House with 1,000 gallons of water. In A Swan Lake, his new full-length work created for the Norwegian National Ballet, the dancers are joined on stage by actors, a soprano, musicians and 1,000 rubber ducks. Alexander Ekman is an award-winning choreographer, whose work is internationally acclaimed for its inventiveness, musicality, and humor.

Ayoade will be in attendance for the Swedish premiere of his second feature The Double as well as talking about how Bergman influences his work, while Breillat’s latest film Abuse of Weakness will also be screened.
Other guests include director Bille August, who won the Palme d’Or for The Best Intentions about Ingmar Bergman’s parents.
