- Robert DeGaetano was born in 1946 in New York. He was a composer, known for Blind Date (2012), Chef's Table (2015) and Camera Three (1955). He died on February 12, 2015 in Palm Beach, Florida, USA.
- Wrote "The Challenger" a suite for solo piano in tribute to the seven astronauts killed in the 1986 space shuttle tragedy. The world premiere was at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, November 1987, with the crew's families in attendance. The concert was filmed for a Charles Kurault television segment that aired on CBS Sunday Morning.
