Representing its biggest format twist in years, CBS' "The Amazing Race" announced its Season 26 cast on Tuesday (January 20). The 11 announced teams include six pre-existing couples, pairs who have been together between seven months and 10 years, and five individuals, who have been matched for a nationally televised blind date that could take them around the world. As usual, the "Amazing Race" field contains a couple celebrity ringers. You'll notice New Kids on the Block veteran Jonathan Knight paired with his boyfriend Harley Rodriguez, while Ally Dudek and Steven Langston are both veteran Winter Olympic medalists. In a new twist, the teams will have the chance to win Date Night rewards, letting couples experience one-on-one romantic activities including hot springs in Japan and star-gazing in Germany. All competing teams, both newly dating and established, are eligible for these Date Nights. "The Amazing Race" will have a 90-minute premiere on Wednesday, February 25 after...

Nicole and Travis were stressed when Nicole had difficulty assembling a bamboo instrument, and Amy helped her friend. Travis told his wife that he was embarrassed by her performance.
At the Pit Stop, Leo and Jamal were the first team to arrive, followed by Timothy and Marie (Reebs) and Jason and Amy. Ally and Ashley were the final team to reach the mat and were eliminated from the race.

The Amazing Race, Season 23, Episode 9: “Part Like the Red Sea”
Aired Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Abu Dhabi is the start of 9th leg, but soon everyone must fly from the land where political correctness has been king, to Bandung, Indonesia, where racers can ask “Are the people there Chinese or Indian?” and it can make it to air. On the way to the airport, Mr. and Mrs. Dr. surprise no one by ramping their self-righteous attitudes up a notch from last episode, saying they aim to be beacon for God’s light in the race, unlike those filthy, lying Afghanimals. The Afghanimals counter in their car by saying things like “all gloves are off,” and “no more playing nice,” and “we didn’t come here to make friends,” (Ok, thank God not that last one). Meanwhile, Marie is sick of feeling bad for ordering Tim around so much,...

The L.A. Kings' ice crew girls Ally and Ashley got iced out of The Amazing Race on Sunday, but that might not have happened had Amy not done Nicole's angklung-building Roadblock for her. "Seeing on TV how much Amy helped Nicole — she literally did it for her — was really frustrating," Ally tells TVGuide.com. "We could've had a shot." Are they mad that Amy might've cost them a spot in the final four? Find out below.

The Amazing Race is heating up as the teams hit Lisbon, Portugal in episode 3. Check out some photos from tonight — with context provided from brow-errific host Phil Keoghan himself — below:
In a Detour, teams must assemble a life-size puzzle using fragile Portuguese tiles. “This is a great way to put together the perfect woman,” Phil remarks on Jamal and Leo (self-proclaimed “Afghanimals”)’s attempt.
“They may be blonde, but they’re smarter than they look,” Phil says of L.A. Kings Ice Crew members Ashley and Ally. “They are out to prove themselves on this Race.”

The Amazing Race, Season 23, Episode 1: “We’re Not in Oklahoma No More” Aired Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Phil Keoghan appears and tells us it is high noon, and that we are in an old western movie ranch. This is merely an excuse for fun music as nothing is really accomplished here, even after a tease that the money has been “stolen.” At least we get treated to two whole seconds of a stunt show style performance, because how else would you start the 23rd season of a reality show? Anyway, after a stumbling beginning, it’s thankfully all business as we meet the contestants. They are:
1. Former NFL Teammates Chester and Ephraim, who, incredibly, went from being bagger and customer to ending up on the same NFL team.
2. Theatre Performers Rowan and Shane, drag queens whose relationship is left predictably unclear.
3. Exes Tim and Marie, who have a hate/hate relationship.
