It's time! To face! The swimming pools and perfectly kept lawns! It's always been our favourite phase of The X Factor and now the glorified game of musical chairs is mercifully over, this weekend sees the surviving 24 acts jet off to Judges' Houses.
Or Judges' Pretend Houses, as we prefer to call it, as they tend to be rented residences. You don't think Cowell and co would let the oiks into their real homes, do you?
There are opulent interiors and guest mentors. Tension gets eked out and tear-sodden hugs get issued. Someone always wears unwise shorts. Someone else dives into a pool with their clothes on. This year, there's even a ghost. We can't wait. But while we do, let's rewind the all-time highlights from Judges' Houses…

The X Factor final is always great in its own right, of course, but one of our favourite things about it is all the things that go with it. The baffling Lord Mayors on awkward live link-ups. The moment when Greggs tries to make the finalists' faces in pizzas.
Basically, we're a fan of the sideshow. And today we were presented with a brilliant example. Thank you, Heart Radio, and thank you, Emma Bunton, and thank you, Jamie Theakston, for introducing us to this X Factor Christmas choir.
We're not entirely sure what they'll be singing but it honestly doesn't really matter because it is such a blast from a past (well, some are more recent than others...).
But the real question is can you name them all? Give it a go and click to reveal the answers...

Sharon Osbourne's act Sam Bailey was crowned X Factor 2013 winner last night (December 15).
The Overs singer beat Nicholas McDonald in the head-to-head final at Wembley Arena, with an ecstatic Osbourne crying with joy and falling to the floor following the result.
To celebrate both Bailey and Osbourne's victory, we take a fond look back at Sharon Osbourne's best bits on The X Factor this year below:
You messed your pants?!
Sharon Osbourne couldn't hold back her delight at a line from Busted's 'Air Hostess' recited by this X Factor hopeful. "You messed your pants?! That's quite fabulous," Osbourne spluttered as tears of laughter began to roll down her cheeks.
"It's a yes from me!" she added before falling to the floor in a hysterical heap. It immediately reminded us how wonderful it was to have Sharon back.

The X Factor 2013 voting statistics have been made available in full by ITV, as is tradition at the end of a series.
The figures show that Sam Bailey and Nicholas McDonald were the only two contestants to ever lead the public vote, with Bailey maintaining her status at the top of the pile from Week 7 until her victory earlier on Sunday evening (December 15).
The X Factor: Judges' winner predictions revealed
McDonald led voting on the first Sunday of the Live Shows, both nights of week two and week six, with Bailey leading all other weeks.
The statistics also show that there was just 0.4% separating Rough Copy and Luke Friend during the week of the quarter finals, when Friend ended up in the sing-off and Tamera Foster was eliminated.
On four occasions, the contestant who was eliminated did not finish bottom of the public vote - Lorna Simpson in week one,...

Once upon a time, just ten nine years ago, The X Factor was something that you had to account for when hoping not to run into a former flame in a smoky club, One Direction was a mere geographical command and Wagner was still the guy who wrote this.
Since then, we've gone from Eton Road to Kingsland Road, Tabby Callaghan to Sam Callahan and G4 to 4G (okay, maybe not the last one). But while some things change, others stay the same, and one more act will be leaving the competition before the night is out. But who will it be?

Kingsland Road have revealed that they expect Sam Bailey to win this year's X Factor.
The band, who were eliminated from the show last weekend after a sing-off against 16-year-old Tamera Foster, said they believe that the former prison officer from Leicestershire has won the hearts of the British public.
"I think Sam Bailey will win it," said the group's Josh Zare in an interview with Celebritain.com.
"I think the public have really taken her into their hearts."
"I can see why there are Susan Boyle comparisons," he continued.
"She isn't the youngest in the competition, but actually she is more contemporary than Subo, she doesn't sing classical stuff."
When asked who else they thought was in the running, they added: "Definitely Sam and Nicholas... [they] both have that public appeal.

Gary Barlow has taken his X Factor act Rough Copy go-karting.
The boyband were left devastated at the departure of their friends Kingsland Road at the weekend and Barlow explained he will do everything he can to lift their spirits.
He also wanted the boys - Kazeem Ajobe, Sterling Ramsey and Joey Thomas - to let off some steam and take their minds off the competition.
Kingsland Road lost the sing-off to Tamera Foster, meaning Rough Copy are now Barlow's last remaining act in the show.
Barlow previously dismissed claims that Rough Copy were "cheesy" after their song choices were criticised.
He said: "On song choice, they usually pick their own songs. They know themselves, Rough Copy, so even if I offered something that was cheesy, they wouldn't take it."

X Factor stars Kingsland Road have compared Sam Callahan to controversial ex-contestants Rylan Clark and Chris Maloney, describing him as a 'brave underdog' who doesn't deserve the hate he has received.

The X Factor's Sam Callahan has spoken out about Gary Barlow's criticism of him in recent weeks.

The latest act to be eliminated from The X Factor has been revealed.
Kingsland Road exited the show following a sing-off with Tamera Foster. The result means that Gary Barlow has only one finalist remaining in his Groups category.
The boyband took on James Morrison's 'I Won't Let You Go' in a bid to keep their place in the competition, while Foster performed Whitney Houston's 'I Have Nothing'.
Nicole Scherzinger was the first judge to vote and opted to send home Kingsland Road, while Barlow stuck by his act and voted to send home Foster.
Impartial judges Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne voted to send home Barlow's act, adding that Foster had more potential in the competition.
Asked by host Dermot O'Leary about their experience, they said: "We loved it. Thank you Gary for everything."
Barlow added: "These guys were together for two years before they joined us.

With the Flash Vote gone, not only are audiences deprived of bursts of Queen at regular and inappropriate intervals during live shows, but we have absolutely no bloomin' idea who's going to be in the sing-off tonight. Could there be Deadlock drama on the horizon? We will have to wait and see.

Little Mix have a lot to answer for. There was a time when girl groups knew their place on X Factor. Miss Frank, Kandy Rain, Hope, Bad Lashes. They all knew that they were merely making up the numbers and that an early Live Shows departure was guaranteed.
Then Little Mix came along, spoiled it all by being rather good at the whole being fun popstars malarkey and suddenly every cobbled-together-at-Boot-Camp collective believe that stardom might be just around the corner.
And so we come to Miss Dynamix, a female three-piece who fitted together like a jam, ham and pineapple sandwich. Never in the entire history of pop have three people possessed such a minuscule amount of chemistry.
Featuring the pregnant one, the tall one and the one that never talked, they were always a walking elimination waiting to happen and after being handed a bye last week, this weekend was a mere formality.

Gary Barlow has dismissed suggestions that his X Factor act Rough Copy are "cheesy".
After a fan suggested on The Xtra Factor that Barlow's influence had made the trio corny following their performance of '(Everything I Do) I Do It For You', the Take That star said that he "disagrees completely".
> X Factor Movie Week: Our 5 favourite performances
"They're not cheesy at all," he said. "I don't know what you mean by that. I think they're a brilliant act."
He added: "On song choice, they usually pick their own songs. They know themselves, Rough Copy, so even if I offered something that was cheesy, they wouldn't take it."
Elsewhere on the show, Kingsland Road hit back at Louis Walsh's suggestion that they are also a little "dated".
"Louis is dated, to be honest," band member Thompson joked.
The X Factor continues tomorrow at 8pm on ITV.

The X Factor's Miss Dynamix lost out in tonight's Flash Vote.
The band - who are in Gary Barlow's Groups category - will now compete in tomorrow night's (October 27) sing-off after polling the fewest votes so far.
It is the second week running that one of Barlow's groups have finished bottom of the Flash Vote, after Kingsland Road suffered the same fate last weekend.
Miss Dynamix admitted that they were "speechless" after discovering that they will compete in tomorrow night's sing-off.
Asked how she felt about the result, SeSe Foster simply replied: "Vocal rest."
Meanwhile, Jeanette Akua said: "I think we've got an advantage to whoever we're up against tomorrow. Tonight we're not sleeping, we're just practicing our Save Me song."
Mentor Barlow advised the group to "rehearse for the next 24 hours".

Smith lost out in tonight's (October 20) sing-off after going up against Gary Barlow's group Kingsland Road.

Shelley Smith was voted off 'The X Factor' tonight (20.10.13). The 34-year-old van driver, who survived a sing-off against Lorna Simpson last week, became the second act to leave this year's series after landing in the bottom two against Kingsland Road. The X Factor has eliminated its second finalist of the series.
Shelley Smith became the latest act to exit the show following a sing-off with Kingsland Road. The result means that Sharon Osbourne has only one finalist remaining in her Overs category.
Kingsland Road became the series' latest 'Flash Vote' nominee during Saturday's (October 19) 'Love and Heartache'-themed show.
Osbourne opted to send Kingsland Road home, while Gary Barlow chose to protect his own act by sending home Smith. Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger admitted that she had to support the boyband as it was their first time in the sing-off.
The decision rested with Louis Walsh who after deliberation - and pleas from Osbourne to save her act - chose to send home the Overs singer.
The judges praised both acts for their sing-off performances. Kingsland Road performed a rendition of Pink's 'Try', while Smith took on Sam Brown's 'Stop'.

X Factor judge Gary Barlow has admitted that he is concerned about his acts' position in the competition because of this week's theme.
All 11 acts must sing tracks that fit under the category 'Love & Heartache' and Barlow said that it was tougher for his Groups category to tackle romantic numbers.
"It's going to be hard this week for the Groups actually because often groups when they sing, they sing to each other and so we are going to have to work something out that's not as personal as a one-on-one situation," said Barlow.
"It has to be more of a general love song so they can all sing it, so it's going to be hard for the Groups."
Barlow's Groups - Rough Copy, Miss Dynamix and Kingsland Road - all escaped the bottom two in last week's first Live Show.
The X Factor airs this Saturday and Sunday at 8pm on ITV.

Shelley Smith was voted off 'The X Factor' tonight (20.10.13). The 34-year-old van driver, who survived a sing-off against Lorna Simpson last week, became the second act to leave this year's series after landing in the bottom two against Kingsland Road. Shelley performed 'Stop' by Sam Brown, while the boyband performed 'Try' by Pink in a bid to stay in the competition. Shelley's mentor, Sharon Osbourne, begged Louis Walsh to save her act after Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger opted to save Kingsland Road, who were placed in the bottom two after a 'Flash Vote' on Saturday night (19.10.13), but the Irish judge...

James Arthur has taken a swipe at The X Factor's Kingsland Road.
The star - who won the ITV series last year - said that Gary Barlow's group "aren't good enough" and called for them to leave the show this weekend.
He tweeted: "Im sorry but this Kingsland Road have me cringing to the max, they aren't good enough. There time must come to an end this Sunday #xfactor"
He went on to compare the act to fellow UK boybands such as One Direction, Lawson and Union J.
"Now this is what I'm talking about we have @UnionJworld @onedirection and dare I say @LawsonOfficial (boyband? Not boyband?) Kingsland no," he posted.
Arthur will release his new single 'You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You' on October 20. His self-titled debut album follows on November 4.
The X Factor continues on Saturday (October 19) at 8pm on ITV.

The final 12 on this year's X Factor performed live for the first time last night, with some acts faring better than others. Sam Bailey gave 'The Power of Love' plenty of oomph, while Sam Callahan had to make do with compliments about being so gosh-darn handsome after an awkward 'Summer of '69' cover.
But it was Shelley Smith who had the worst night as she fell victim to the first 'Flash Vote' of the series. Will Sharon Osbourne's mission to finally win the show be off to a rocky start, or will her Overs remain intact after lines close and the judges vote?

X Factor series 10's Live Shows kicked off with an '80s Week theme. Joy Division, Billy Bragg, C86, Metallica and the Beastie Boys were all surprisingly snubbed as song choices in favour of Whitney, Bryan Adams and Phil Collins.
Who would ever accuse The X Factor of being predictable?
The song choices weren't the only predictable thing on Saturday night as the old Louis Walsh book of clichés was wheeled out ("This is the toughest challenge yet", "The word with you is potential", "international stars", "you've got the whole package"), and a bunch of oiled-up backing dancers and various wacky stage antics (lifts, giant boxes, wind machines) masked many a vocal sin.
Even, Dermot's embarrassing dad opening dance routine has been ditched this year. Did he draw the line at twerking? The whole show has been Barlow-fied. No joke acts. No silliness. Even Sharon Osbourne, when she was vaguely coherent,...

Four judges, two presenters, 12 performances, one Flash Vote twist, and just one or two ad breaks, The X Factor live shows got to quite a start with 1980s week.
Below we round up our top five performances from the live shows, and invite you to vote for your own favourite in our poll.
Tamera Foster - 'Ain't Nobody'
We're not quite sure what Sharon thinks is so "exotic" about Tamera, but she's assured, sexy and - helped out by the best song of the evening - was the most professional. Less poe-tential, but the most ready-made talent on week one.
Rough Copy - 'In The Air Tonight'
Nicole was convinced that these guys are the best band she's ever seen on The X Factor. At this early stage, we'd pitch them above Bad Lashes and below Miss Frank, but we very much enjoyed their arrangement of a Phil Collins classic,...
