Stars: Peter Stephen Wolmarans, Sandra Pizzullo, Penelope Sangiorgi, Rocco Marazzita | Written and Directed by Alessandro Antonaci, Daniel Lascar, Stefano Mandalà
Sound of Silence was written and directed by Alessandro Antonaci, Daniel Lascar, and Stefano Mandalà who work collectively under the label of T3. They previously made the feature You Die and several shorts including the 2020 short Sound of Silence which they’ve now expanded into a feature. But can the concept survive going from three minutes to ninety-three minutes?
An old man, Peter (Peter Stephen Wolmarans) is puttering around in his attic when he finds an old, possibly antique, radio. He becomes so intent on fixing it that he ignores his wife (Sandra Pizzullo) telling him dinner is ready. He should have listened to her because once the radio is working it unleashes something that attacks them both.
In New York City, Emma (Penelope Sangiorgi), an aspiring singer, freezes at an audition.

Emma returns to Italy after an incident in her family home leaves her parents badly injured. Alone in the house Emma discovers a haunted radio and makes contact with the evil that is haunting it. Now she has to uncover the dark secret behind the radio’s curse if she is going to survive the night. Sound of Silence is building off an idea in a short film by the same name in 2020 made by Alessandro Antonaci, Stefano Mandalà, and Daniel Lascar, known collectively as T3 Directors. We will refer to them T3 here on in. Audio heard during the prologue in the film talks of ‘three directors’ who prefer to ‘shoot their movies like stage plays’. One can only presume the directors...

Don’t let them hear you in Sound of Silence, from directors Alessandro Antonaci, Stefano Mandalà, and Daniel Lascar.
In the film…
“When her father is gravely injured, Emma returns to her family home in Italy. Alone in the house while her father recovers, she encounters a haunted radio – and the evil entity behind it. With the supernatural force growing stronger by the hour, Emma must reveal the dark secret behind the radio’s curse to survive the night.”
Hypes the press release: “This tense and stylish haunted house film is a high-concept take in the vein of James Wan’s The Conjuring and Mike Flanagan’s Oculus.”
Sound of Silence will be on VOD and Digital March 9, 2023.
In this exclusive clip, we see Emma and what looks like a simple old radio, but it’s something much more sinister.

There have been plenty of directing duos over the years, it's not often that you get a trio though. That's bring us here with an Italian horror flick called Sound of Silence from Alessandro Antonaci, Stefano Mandalà, and Daniel Lascar, known collectively as T3 Directors. XYZ Films is bringing Sound of Silence to VOD and digital on March 8th. The feature looks to build off an idea they first explored with their short film of the same name back in 2020. We've included that short - a near three minute dose of holy shit after holy shit - down below with the trailer. Can T3 Directors take a three minute idea and extend it to ninety minutes? It's not the first time we...
