A Nevada Democrat who accused Joe Biden of touching her without permission says the former vice president has been “so incredibly disrespectful” by joking about the matter. Joe Scarborough offered some advice to Joe Biden on the first official day of the former vice president’s 2020 presidential campaign, telling the Democrat that he should keep elite opinion and social media pundits at arm’s length.
“Joe Biden and other candidates, they need to ignore the blue check marks and what the blue check marks say and what the Washington elites say and what the Manhattan elites say,” Scarborough said. “If this class of people had influence over the Democratic party, Bill Bradley would have been president in 2000.”
The reference to “blue checks marks” refers to verified users of social media — though Scarborough was almost certainly talking about Twitter specifically given his proficient use of the platform.

In the first presidential election season since Democrats elected a black man as president twice and nominated a woman for the first time, a white man with a terrible record of campaigning for the job and a litany of gaffes sits at or near the top of the 2020 primary polls — without even having to enter the race. It is perhaps a sign of the times that Joe Biden, a two-time presidential also-ran, is still viewed as a great hope for those Democrats who are skittish about nominating anyone who isn...

“Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski criticized President Trump on Friday for a viral video the billionaire made mocking Joe Biden’s penchants for hugging — hinting ominously of an inappropriate moment Trump had on set.
“Talk about somebody with boundary issues,” Brzezinski said. “Kind of makes me want to share the story about Trump’s unbelievably inappropriate hug in our studio.”
Brzezinski’s co-host (and husband) Joe Scarborough seemed less keen on sharing, making a non-committal sound at the idea. He did, however, call out Trump for throwing stones at glass houses.

In a two-minute video posted to Twitter on Wednesday, Joe Biden responded to the criticism that he’s overstepped boundaries and acted inappropriately with women who have come into his orbit. The debate was touched off last week when Lucy Flores, a former Nevada assemblywoman, wrote an essay recounting an uncomfortable experience in which Biden reportedly smelled her hair before planting a “big slow kiss” on the back of her head. Since then, at least three other women have spoken about being made to feel similarly uncomfortable by Biden at political events.

Biden added, in a video posted Wednesday, he'll get himself in check going forward and be mindful of people's personal space.

Last week, Lucy Flores, a Democractic lawmaker from Nevada, penned an op-ed for the Cut claiming that former vice president Joe Biden had touched her inappropriately while she was campaigning for lieutenant governor. Flores wrote that Biden approached her from behind and smelled her hair before kissing her on the back of the head. Shortly thereafter (as we have come to expect with these cases), a woman named Amy Lappos chimed in, telling the Hartford Courant that Biden had rubbed noses with her at a 2009 fundraiser. Since then, two other...

Joe Biden was called out by Jon Stewart and the “Daily Show” for “groping” women back in 2015, video from the Comedy Central archives show.
In a segment that also featured then-show correspondent Samantha Bee, Stewart played multiple instances of Biden being hands-on with women and noted how all the touching might come back to bite him if he sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016.
“There’s been a rumor that Vice President Joe Biden may be gunning for the Democratic nomination in 2016, but before we talk about a promotion, I think we need to take a look at how he’s doing in his current position,” Stewart said before playing video footage of Biden placing his hands on the shoulders of Stephanie Carter, the wife of Obama Defense Secretary Ash Carter.
“Hey you seem tense. Is it the stress of me groping you for 28 straight seconds?” Stewart mocked. “Jesus, 28 seconds.

Though Joe Biden is polling well against the still-growing field of Democratic primary contenders, a storm is brewing over the former vice president’s potential 2020 candidacy. Last week, former Nevada state assemblywoman Lucy Flores recalled in a piece for New York magazine an incident in which the infamously handsy Biden approached her from behind, smelled her hair and kissed her on the back of her head. On Monday, a second woman, Amy Lappos, came forward, writing on Facebook that Biden “did something similar” to her while she was a congressional aide for Rep.

Back in 2014, when former Nevada state assemblywoman Lucy Flores was campaigning for lieutenant governor, she got a bit of good news: Vice President Joe Biden was interested in joining her on the trail. But her initial optimism over Biden’s appearance at a rally in Las Vegas curdled upon his arrival. Flores recently recalled in a piece for New York that Biden approached her from behind, smelling her hair before planting a “big slow kiss” on the back of her head.

It would seem that some folks are a bit affectionate, but then again some do this when it doesn’t seem warranted and Joe Biden, unfortunately is one of those. In a piece written by Lucy Flores of The Cut it was stated that former VP Joe Biden that stated just how inappropriate can be it’s been seen that Biden is perhaps one of the strangest and possibly creepiest men in politics. The opinion that he’s anything but kosher around other people is something that could be dismissed if it was a once or twice thing that hadn’t happened again. But

3/31 -- Joe Biden has issued a second statement on Lucy Flores' accusation of kissing her on the head in 2014, again saying he doesn't recall the encounter the way Flores describes it ... but clarifies by saying that in all the moments he's been publicly affectionate with someone, he never thought he was acting inappropriately, adding it was never his intention. He follows up by saying, "[W]e have arrived at an important time when women feel...
