Today, Leo Schofield, who was wrongfully convicted of murder in Central Florida more than three decades ago, was denied parole and instead the parole board recommended he be transferred to the Everglades Re-Entry Center, where he will remain until his next opportunity for parole. The board agreed to reconsider parole in 12 months. The decision was made during a parole hearing held this morning in Tallahassee, where Schofield's case was reviewed.
Schofield's case has received extensive coverage from both local and international press following the launch of the award-winning Bone Valley podcast, which put it in the national spotlight last year. The Lava for Good podcast, written and hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Gilbert King and co-host Kelsey Decker, uncovered overwhelming evidence of Schofield's innocence and delivered detailed confessions from the actual killer of Leo’s wife Michelle.
The evidence, including previously unidentified fingerprints from Michelle's car, matched Jeremy Scott,...

“Churning butter!” Grant Vanderbilt yells in a video posted on Instagram back in 2018. It’s not actual butter: Marko Monroe is “churning” the contents of a trash can on Hollywood Boulevard with a palm frond as people mill around. “Making trash butter!” Vanderbilt continues. “Who wants a cocktail?!” adds Marko, attempting to sell the product.
“We were absolutely insane,” says Hunter Crenshaw, who also was there that night. The three are the founders of the five-member House of Avalon, a chosen-family collective of Arkansas transplants who now reside in an L.A. duplex. “We just did crazy things, and that’s kind of how we made our name.” The clip of Vanderbilt and Monroe led to the group working with nightlife producers the Boulet Brothers for one of their first club gigs in L.A., with the party Queen Kong at Precinct Dtla.

Julian Lennon, Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and global philanthropist, has written and recorded a new song that will be performed for the first time at Everland’s Concert for Climate on June 4 as part of the United Nations Environment Programme’s World Environment Day
(Wed) celebrations. Everland commissioned Lennon to create the theme song for its short documentary film series about the forest conservation projects it represents in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa. The concert will be at the Fotografiska Museum in Stockholm, Sweden, and live streamed by Looped.
Touching on the urgency to protect our natural world, the song aligns with Lennon’s work with The White Feather Foundation, which he founded in 2007 after being asked by Elders of The Mirning People to use his voice to help preserve their Indigenous culture. It also expresses Everland’s commitment to end deforestation and support Indigenous communities at the heart of forest conservation and protecting biodiversity.

Katy Perry attended the 2019 Met Gala as a human chandelier, and now the singer has expressed her appreciation for an Indian version of the attire.
The 34-year-old pop star embraced the 2019 Met Gala theme "Camp: Notes of Fashion", and turned up at the event in New York on Monday as a chandelier in an outfit by Moschino's Jeremy Scott. It is reported that she was wearing a 40-pound chandelier, with a built-in corset consisting of 18 steel bones and two hidden battery packs to illuminate the lights.
An Indian influencer Just Sul posted a video of his own version of the ensemble -- showing him in a shiny dress with chandelier and candles along with a moustache. As the camera gets close to his face, he says: "I am Katy Curry, *******", which is followed by Perry's song "Dark horse".
The singer took note of the short video, and shared it on her Instagram account.

Jeremy Scott has developed a strong following thanks to his snarky takedowns of major motion pictures. Now, Scott has converted his fans to his literary efforts. He wrote a fantasy novel called The Ables, and as soon as it became available for pre-order on Amazon, it skyrocketed into the top ten on the site's list of best-sellers.
Scott made a name for himself thanks to his keen ability to spot continuity errors, plot holes, and logic gaps in well-known films, but his novel doesn't center around movies at all. Instead, The Ables follows a young protagonist named Phillip, who learns that he has telekinetic powers. Unfortunately, he has a disability that makes it hard for him to use his power: he's blind. In a YouTube video, Scott explains he wrote The Ables to "examine what life might be like right there in the middle, between being a full-on superhero and a regular old human.
