Alyssa Vaughan(II)
- Actress
The eldest child of Patrick and Wendi, Alyssa was born November 5, 1986
in Hayward California. Always a photogenic child, she loved to ham it
up when her dad pulled out the video camera, even though she wasn't
always intended as the subject.
The family moved from the Bay Area to Northern California in 1996, to escape the smog and traffic. In her junior and senior years of high school, Alyssa sang in the all-female choir and featured in several school plays, earning acclaim from fellow students and teachers. She was also a power figure in the school's multimedia group, Thunderpaw Multimedia, which produced short films and 3D animations for local film festivals. As the web and operations manager, she was in charge of maintaining the group's website and collection of professional film equipment. Though she dreamed of going on to study at prestigious film schools, she instead focused on working full time and earning her associate's degree in fashion merchandising at a local community college.
In 2006, she met and began dating Jonathan Vaughan, who would become her husband. The pair married in 2010, and in 2013 they moved from California to Pennsylvania, where Alyssa started her own business making custom nail polish inspired by geek pop culture.
She still loves to act and sing, though most of her time is spent working on new collections for her polish company, updating the couple's late-19th century home, and cosplaying.
