“Eisenhorn,” a live-action series based on the “Warhammer 40,000” game and books is in the works. “The X-Files” exec producer Frank Spotnitz will be showrunner. His shingle, Big Light, has teamed with Games Workshop, which owns “Warhammer 40,000” to develop the property.
Billed as a genre-bending sci-fi and fantasy series, “Eisenhorn” is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, where humankind teeters on the brink of annihilation. It will follow inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn and his band of investigators as they fight to thwart the schemes of aliens and heretics.
“Warhammer 40,000” spans the eponymous war game, figures, and books. The series is based on novels written by New York Times bestselling author Dan Abnett (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), which were originally published in 2001 by Games Workshop imprint Black Library.

There’s an official Warhammer 40,000 animated series in development called Angels of Death, and today we have a teaser trailer to share with you to get you pumped up for it!
The series was developed by Richard Boylan, who previously brought us the awesome Warhammer fan films Helsreach and Guardsman. He obviously impressed the team at Games Workshop.
Here are the details on the series thanks to the official announcement:
We’re bringing the grim darkness of the far future to life like never before. Get ready for epic battle, heroic sacrifice, loads of explosions, brutal close-combat chainsword duels, and some pathos-laden dialogue that’ll fill your belly with fire and stretch your heart strings to breaking.
‘Angels of Death’, will follow the visceral exploits of a band of Blood Angels Space Marines as they face Mankind’s enemies, death and worse – the dreaded Black Rage. To ensure the story is suitably grimdark,...

Whether you're familiar with the game Warhammer 40,000 or not, this is still an epic and visually stunning fan-made animated series that anyone can enjoy! It's called Helsreach and it was created by Richard Boylan. The series in an adaptation of Aaron Dembski-Bowden’s 2010 novel of the same name, which "follows the exploits of the Black Templar chapter of Space Marines as they race to defend the Imperial planet of Armageddon."
I really dig the dark and gritty animation style. It has a unique feel to it and it works perfectly for the telling of this story. I hope you all enjoy what's been released so far!

You've got to watch this first episode in a new animated web-series called Tank Head. It was created by Richard Boylan, who is the cinematic designer for the game Mass Effect: Andromeda. The story revolves around a giant who literally has a tank for a head. It's absolutely ridiculous and extremely action-packed.
The animation was done in a rotoscope style, and the creator explained to io9 that it’s "about a guy landing in the middle of a non-specific war." He doesn't give a reason why, he just explains that he wants people to interpret it for themselves, saying, "I’d rather let people invent their own meaning behind the imagery.”
The visuals of this thing are insane! There's no word on how many episodes we'll see, but the next one will come out in a couple of weeks. Each one is said to have its own unique visual style,...

Edmonton filmmaker Richard Boylan's new short film, Timelike, is a gripping, found footage time-looping mind fu*k that will have you glued to the screen and scratching your head as you try to figure out exactly what is happening and why it's destroying the world.
In the film, Madeline is a young physics student (that's important I think) who is visited by a stranger claiming to be her. I won't spoil it from there.
Synopsis:
Madeline and her boyfriend are enjoying a quiet evening at home when they are interrupted by a visit from a stranger bearing a message from [Continued ...]...
