Gwyneth Paltrow is taking full advantage of Spring break. The actress recently jetted off to Mexico for a tropical getaway with her boyfriend, Brad Falchuk, and we're officially jealous. On Sunday, the couple - who made their romance Instagram official in early March - hit the beach wearing coordinating bathing suits and smiles. While Gwyneth looked amazing in a navy blue Helen Jon bikini, Brad, a TV writer behind hit shows like American Horror Story and Glee, rocked dark swimming trunks. The two chatted while lying in the sand before Gwyneth took a dip in the ocean. The couple has been quietly dating since Gwyneth split from Chris Martin in 2014, and certain sources think they could be headed down the aisle soon. "They speak about marriage all the time and know it'll happen," a source told Us Weekly in March. "Her kids love him and think he's the best." Gwyneth...

This certainly wasn't the finale I expected, and I'm not sure it's the finale we deserved, either.
The Affair Season 3 Episode 10 blew right by any self-discovery on Noah's part after he realized he was the one who had been harming himself, concocting Gunther out of thin air and was, perhaps, on the verge of a total mental breakdown.
I'd go so far as to say by the end of 310, it's even possible we were lead to believe nothing we though we'd come to believe was true at all, at least if we read a little bit into some of what Noah said.
If there's a time anyone doesn't read into what's being said on The Affair, please enlighten me.
With the many different points of view, the thing you must be doing at all times is trying to understand where a character is coming from in their frame of mind,...

The weekend of October 14th to 16th marked the inaugural year of the (annual) Brooklyn Horror Film Festival. The festival hosted various events around the Williamsburg neighborhood of New York City’s largest borough, including an art show, a reading by author Grady Hendrix, and film screenings. The festival was so successful that eighteen of twenty-two events were completely sold out.
One film that had its world premiere at Bhff was Child Eater (2016), a joint Icelandic/USA production. The film takes an urban legend and brings it frighteningly to life. Directed by Erlingur Ottar Thoroddsen, the film follows Helen (Cait Bliss) while she babysits Lucas. Lucas and his dad are new to the area but know the history of the house. It once belonged to a local farmer who kidnapped, tortured, and then killed children, eating their eyes in the belief that it would save his own vision.

Over 40 years after its initial publication, J. G. Ballard’s brilliant novel High-Rise has been adapted for the big screen. A new trailer for the Ben Wheatley film has arrived from Magnet Releasing, teasing close quarters combat, stylish parties, and Tom Hiddleston as Dr. Robert Laing.
“High-Rise stars Hiddleston as Dr. Robert Laing, the newest resident of a luxurious apartment in a high-tech concrete skyscraper whose lofty location places him amongst the upper class. Laing quickly settles into high society life and meets the building’s eccentric tenants: Charlotte (Miller), his upstairs neighbor and bohemian single mother; Wilder (Evans), a charismatic documentarian who lives with his pregnant wife Helen (Moss); and Mr. Royal (Irons), the enigmatic architect who designed the building. Life seems like paradise to the solitude-seeking Laing. But as power outages become more frequent and building flaws emerge, particularly on the lower floors, the regimented social strata begins...

Backroad Anthem has issued a statement on Facebook after learning their band member, Craig Strickland, was found dead on Monday. "Today we lost our brother, our best friend, our bandmate. Craig was the most amazing person whose passion for life couldn't be matched," the country band wrote under a group photo. Us Weekly reports that Zooey Deschanel has converted to Judaism. Mazel tov! Deschanel’s mom is Roman Catholic, and her father Quaker, but she did not publicly attach herself to one religion. (Privately, she belonged to an ultraconservative offshoot of secular humanism that mandated women's foreheads be covered at all times.) The actress converted before marrying her husband, Jacob Pechenik, earlier this year. (Though it probably didn't hurt having Rob Reiner play her dad on New Girl.) No word what her bat mitzvah theme will be, but we’re pushing for cats with old-lady names. Save us a seat at “a Calico named Helen.”...

Close-Up is a column that spotlights films now playing on Mubi. Black Sabbath is playing on Mubi in the Us through November 13, and Bay of Blood is playing on Mubi in the Us October 15 - November 14.Starting as a cinematographer and director of documentaries and shorts, Mario Bava would ultimately explore a variety of genres, from spaghetti westerns and sword-and-sandal adventures, to a modish detective film and even a romping sex comedy. It is his work within the horror genre, however, for which he is most widely, and justly, lauded. Among the Italian filmmakers who rose to prominence on the international horror scene of the 1960s and 70s, few would attain his degree of diverse stylistic virtuosity, nor would they cover the genre in such an expansive fashion. As the years of his career happened to fall, Bava ended up documenting the horror film in the process of profound transition.

Returning to the Lebanese roots that informed her 2004 debut In the Battlefields, it’s a semi-autobiographical period piece exploring the a familiar trajectory of a woman discovering her identity while lost in a hostile, foreign environment. Besides featuring an impressive array of young, notable French actors in the supporting cast, Arbid discovers an arresting new presence with her lead Manal Issa, an actress making her screen debut. Warmly portrayed without depending on extreme emotional fluctuations to hold attention, it’s an overly familiar if engaging character study of a young woman forced to deal with unfair cruelties from patriarchal and political realms. HBO is apparently hoping the Yorkshire Dales will be the setting of the next Downton Abbey-style British hit.

The original series starred Christopher Timothy as vet James Herriot alongside the likes of Robert Hardy and future Doctor Who lead Peter Davison.
It was one of the biggest shows on UK television during its heyday, running from 1978 to 1980 and 1988 to 1990.
Based on the books by Alf Wight, the series was brought back for a three-part sequel titled Young James Herriot in 2011.
Set in the fictional Yorkshire village of Darrowby, the series also starred late actress Lynda Bellingham as Herriot's wife Helen. The role was originally played by Timothy's real-life partner Carol Drinkwater before their split.
