Richard was a United States Air Force Captain in the Strategic Air Command and actually launched a test Minuteman II missile from Vandenberg AFB in California.
Prior to starting film work, Richard was in Silicon Valley management with Apple Computer, Stanford University and a Vice-President at the internet pioneering company Netscape.
Richard is also a working cowboy.
Richard is the older brother of TV and film composer John Beal, known for working on such projects as Eight is Enough, Vega$, Happy Days, The Funhouse, Terror in the Aisles and numerous movie trailers from a career spanning over 45 years.
Richard is a former Board of Director for the New Mexico Film Foundation.
Richard has a Bachelors Degree in International Finance from UCLA, a Masters Degree in Sociology from the University of Missouri, and a Masters of Divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary.
