They also attracted other celebrities like Isabelle Huppert and quickly became the center of attention. As they loudly sang, a larger group surrounded them and recorded them on their phones. And with GdT giving the performance of a lifetime, it’s hard to blame onlookers.

Round-up of news from the sixth American Film Festival and Us in Progress showcase.
Shaz Bennett’s Alaska Is A Drag was the big winner at the fifth edition of the Us In Progress showcase during Wroclaw’s sixth American Film Festival (Oct 20-25).
The strand’s jury awarded post-production services worth up to $40,000 to the project. This will include colour correction from Chimney Poland, a score composed by Maciej Zielinski from Soundflower Studios, and a final sound mix from Toya Studios, as well as an offer to acquire TV rights from Ale Kino+.
The film, which is writer-director Bennett’s feature version of her 2012 short of the same name, was produced by her 4248 Productions with Melanie Miller’s Fishbowl Films.
The cast of the $700,000 project includes Matt Dallas, Jason Scott Lee, Margaret Cho, newcomer Martin L. Washington Jr. and Christopher O’Shea.

Following a 10-day program of 180 Lgbtq films from 33 countries, Frameline's 39th edition came to an end Sunday night in San Francisco. Toh! reveals the exclusive list of festival winners, feted at the Oasis Nightclub & Cabaret. Big winners include Chilean coming-out drama "In the Grayscale" (well-reviewed on the circuit) and kidnapping documentary "The Amina Profile," which earned Sundance buzz. Earlier in the fest, the career-honoring Frameline Film Fest award went to doc-maker Jeffrey Schwarz, whose "Tab Hunter Confidential" screened for Frameline audiences (it will play Outfest in La this Summer).
