GTA 5 is still one of the most successful and well-made open-world sandbox games of all time. Even before its launch, there was no doubt about it: this game was destined to be such a phenomenal success. Then came GTA Online, an Mmo like no other; it was just what fans wanted—a GTA game, but online, that they could play with their friends.
As online mode became a success, Rockstar Games started putting more and more resources into making add-on missions for it. As these expansions started piling up, rumors started coming in of canceled single-player DLCs. Over the years, there has been no official statement regarding those DLCs, but recently, a very reliable source came out with his side of the story.
