Much like last year's "Suits" renaissance, "Bones" continues to be popular long after wrapping up. The final episode aired back in 2017 but the David Boreanez and Emily Deschanel-starring procedural is still seeing plenty of streaming action on Hulu — and I say, good for "Bones!" If you didn't happen to catch the show during its run on the Fox network, there are several things about the show that might surprise you to learn. The guest stars, for instance, were actually quite impressive. Stephen Fry showed up quite a bit as psychiatrist, Dr. Gordon Wyatt, as did Zz Top vocalist/guitarist Billy Gibbons. Yes, the hirsute rock star played the father of Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin), a Jeffersonian Institute forensic artist.
In a 2010 interview with TVTango, series creator/executive producer Hart Hanson said that he "always knew [Angela] had a rock-star dad because it's just funny to me that guys I...

Bones signs off on Tuesday, after 12 seasons of crime solving, evidence examining, blood, guts and, most importantly, bones. But at the core of the long-running Fox procedural -- the “heart of the matter,” if you will -- was a partnership between forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz).
From their first episode together, Brennan and Booth’s dynamic was electric, and while the will-they-or-won’t-they of it all took nearly seven seasons to sort out (more if you count that they don’t actually tie the knot until season nine), their relationship kept fans hooked for all 245 episodes. We watched Brennan wrestle with her feelings as Booth looked for love, saw them lay it all on the line only to yank it back again, and finally, at long last, got to witness their happy ending. Two kids and countless hurdles later, they’re still going strong.

Buck and Wanda returned when Booth and Brennan went undercover at a demolition derby on Bones Season 12 Episode 10.
Our TV Fanatics Ashley Bisette Sumerel and Christine Orlando are joined by Pam, a Bones fan, to debate Buck, Wanda, and Gordon’s returns, Zack’s future, and the character they will miss the most once the series ends.
Will Zack be back at The Jeffersonian before Bones Season 12 ends?
Pam: I am thinking he will be cleared but not working back at the lab. He’d have to go through a lot to be hired back there again if ever.
Ashley: I hope so. I think that would be a really satisfying way to end the series. Well, maybe not even having him return to The Jeffersonian, but just having him get out in general would be worth it.
Christine: Yeah, I’m curious to see how they’re going to wrap that up.

If nothing else, Bones Season 12 Episode 9 reminded me of how much I will miss this show.
I’ll miss the characters.
I’ll miss the science.
I’ll miss the mysteries.
However, I won’t miss the gore, and I definitely won’t look back fondly on the parasitic round worms coming out of dead bodies!
Oh gosh, I feel nauseous.
But I’ll give credit where it is due... bits of a body in a hay bale is a new one, although whose twisted brain came up with it I’m not sure I’ll ever want to know.
Oddly enough, one of the most shocking things to be brought up about murder victim Dustin Doyle was that his mother’s Parkinson’s medication can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 a month!
I kept expecting for it to be revealed that the reason Dustin robbed banks was to pay for his mother’s prescription drugs,...

Did the team look great undercover?
That was questioned on Bones Season 12 Episode 9 when it became apparent they would need to go undercover in order to solve the latest crime.

Buck and Wanda Moosejaw are back in the driver's seat in this episode of Bones, titled "The Final Chapter: The Steel in the Wheels." Brennan and Booth revive their white trash alter egos to catch the killer of a bank robber who moonlights as a demolition derby driver. For the first time ever, Brennan is reluctant to don the brassy lipstick, gold lame and pin curls to solve a case. Of course, the poor woman is in serious mourning, and it makes her grouchy all over.
As promised by the Bones fairies, beloved characters of seasons past continue to parade through our weekly storylines. While in town to scour Sweets' FBI files, the lovable and eccentric therapist-cum-gourmet chef Dr. Gordon Gordon Wyatt once again nudges Brennan and Booth into working through some difficulties in an unconventional way. This time around, Gordon spends time in the lab colluding with Hodgins, with phenomenal results.

Bones couldn't end without another undercover case, and that's what's coming up in "The Steel in the Wheels," which will see someone else join Booth and Brennan in disguise.
According to Fox, "When a young man dies in a horrendous hay baler accident, Booth, Brennan and Aubrey slap on trashy disguises and go undercover at a rowdy demolition derby competition to investigate the case. Meanwhile, Dr. Gordon Wyatt (guest star Stephen Fry) returns and assists Hodgins and Cam when the ongoing Gormogon case hits a dead end."...

Remember when Zach was just a sweet, passive intern?
Before the rotating squinterns, he was lovable and kind, always there, doing a great job at the Jeffersonian.
That Zach has been gone for a while now.
When he stumbled, he fell hard. Now he's fallen so low that those that once loved him fear in him the very worst.
To quote Agent Seely Booth, "He's taken her, and he's going to kill her."
That's not the story we ever expected to play out for these characters we've considered family over the past 12 years, even if they'd come upon hard times like Zach.
Surely he wouldn't want to hurt the one person who have to him so much before he disappeared into the hell of his own mind.
Wrong!
At least wrong if Booth is correct. Zach wants to kill Temperance Brennan, and it's up to Booth to get his family back together.
