- Producer
Andy Gomez is a cancer survivor, Marine Corps OCS graduate, aircraft pilot, and musician. He spent his childhood moving around to several military installations and embassies with his family. A committed athlete and team captain in high school, he turned down several sport scholarships to attend a university with a NIFA (National Intercollegiate Flying Association) team. After contributing to the regional and national success of Liberty University's flight team, he left NIFA and joined the Men's Rowing team to re-embrace the athletic camaraderie he missed. Upon graduating with a BS in Aeronautics, he dedicated his full attention to pilot/officer training with the USMC. Andy witnessed several incurable neurological disorders in a PT setting, which motivated him to begin a postbac in Neuroscience and research in human interface at the Cognitive Engineering Center of Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2016, he completed the postbac and resigned from his post at the CEC to accept the Chancellor's Academic Achievement Scholarship and enroll in medical school. He enjoys reading, exploring culture/nature, and attending nerdy functions in his free time.
