Colt Balok was born in Tijuana, Mexico on August 23. When he was two years old he was adopted and raised in San Diego with thirteen siblings.
In 2012 Balok moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and in 2018 launched The Colt Balok Show - an international talk show that has grown to 1.3 million followers. Balok hosts and produces the show, and has described it as based on "love and human connection."
Balok has interviewed public figures and everyday people on the show, including Sean Gunn, Carole Baskin, George Lopez, Drew Seeley, Chevel Shepherd, Jeremiah Bitsui, Nia Peeples, Taryn Manning, Quinton Aaron, Loud Luxury, Bee Vang, Tyler Glenn, David Archuleta, Susana Martinez, Diego Sanchez, Holly Holm, Carlos Condit, Darryl Worley, Mike Manning, Edward Baca, Daniel DiMaggio, Heidi Ricci, Andy Walken, and RJ Mitte.
On December 13th 2022, the show's Angel Network segment hosted a blood drive in New Mexico. With a partnership from the Public Service Company of New Mexico and the University of New Mexico's Army ROTC program, the show broke a New Mexico record for blood donations.
Individuals Colt recognized as particularly virtuous were featured on the show and awarded $2000 checks each in 2021 as part of the Game Changers segment. Fortune 500 Company, Public Service Company of New Mexico sponsored the segment.
Balok sits on several prestigious boards, including the New Mexico Heart Gallery Foundation Board and the National Guard Youth Challenge Foundation board.
Balok spends a lot of time at his family's elk ranch in McGaffey, New Mexico, with his Australian Shepherd, Abigail. He also has a strict routine, including going to daily Mass, daily Adoration, and daily workouts with ROTC cadets.
