Three of the 12 "Star Trek" shows to date begin with the same familiar narration, which was originally spoken by Captain Kirk (William Shatner) in 1966:
"Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise, its five-year mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."
For "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987) and "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" (2022), "no man" was changed to "no one." "Next Generation" was also a "continuing mission" and not a "five-year mission." That narration has come to represent the ethos of the entire "Star Trek" franchise, highlighting that the various shows and movies are about exploration, new life, and going boldly. Unlike the title crawl of "Star Wars," there is no talk of conflict, conquering enemies, or asserting dominance. In the original series, the narration played over a gentle...

The late 90s and early 2000s were the golden era of Cartoon Network, with wildly successful shows like Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, and Teen Titans airing at the time. Each episode followed a villain-of-the-week format, where Courage had to face off against scary monsters, aliens, and other paranormal...

At the conclusion of Women’s History Month, 100 Thieves announced an initiative that will highlight female members of the streaming community. The gaming and esports organization has announced a Spotlight Series that will include original content, a “collaborative platform,” and other initiatives that will put female creators front and center.
100 Thieves announced the Spotlight Series through a Twitter thread. The organization described its new program as an attempt to “amplify the voices” of female creators, who often have a tough time getting the same level of exposure as their male colleagues.
To give those individuals their due, 100 Thieves will showcase the channels of up-and-coming streamers. Women who are selected for the Spotlight Series will also receive fresh headshots, new peripherals, priority access to 100 Thieves apparel, and airfare to Los Angeles, where the featured creators will have a chance to visit the 100 Thieves compound.
