Tina Turner’s son, Ike Turner Jr., was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and tampering with evidence weeks before Tina’s death.
Ike was pulled over on May 6 at 12:09 a.m. at a traffic light in his white Ford Fusion when officers noticed that one of the lights – either the headlight or taillight – was broken. When officers approached his car, Ike attempted to consume all of the narcotics that were in his possession.
The captain of the Alvin Police Department stated that Ike, “tried to eat the drugs before the officers could seize them from him.”
Police seized almost two grams of crack cocaine and .7 grams of methamphetamine from him.
Ike was with Jessica Salinas-Esquivel in the car when he was pulled over. Officers arrested her too, and she is now being charged with possession of a controlled substance.
