Just one year ago, Donald Trump and his team were openly welcoming Nikki Haley into the GOP presidential primary, even as the former president was privately trashing her for being a “two-faced” phony who didn’t know when to stop turning against — then back to — him.
For much of 2023, Trump, his senior staff, and outside supporters mostly left Haley, Trump’s former United Nations ambassador, alone — sometimes at the specific urging of Trump advisers, according to two Trump allies and a screenshot of messages reviewed by Rolling Stone. Some on...

Billie Eilish swept the top categories at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards as she and brother/recording partner Finneas O’Connell took home six out of the seven awards they were nominated for. Eilish became only the second artist in history to nab new artist, song of the year, record of the year and album of the year. She also won pop vocal album while O’Connell earned producer of the year and engineered album (both non-classical).
Lizzo had a stellar Grammy debut as well. After opening the show with a Kobe Bryant tribute and an energetic rendition of “Truth Hurts,” she picked up trophies for pop solo performance, traditional R&b performance and urban contemporary album. Tyler, the Creator won his first Grammy on Sunday in the rap album category, beating 21 Savage, Ybn Cordae, Meek Mill and Dreamville.

Billie Eilish was the front-runner in all four general field categories at the Grammys before nominations were announced in November, but things changed when Lizzo exceeded our expectations with eight noms, more than any other artist. Eilish still has the edge in most of her categories based on our racetrack odds, but when it comes to Song of the Year, the year’s top songwriting prize, it looks like it’s going to be close.

Eilish is nominated for co-writing “Bad Guy” with her brother Finneas O’Connell, and they get leading odds of 5/1 based on the combined predictions of Gold Derby’s users. But Lizzo is breathing down her neck with “Truth Hurts,” which she co-wrote with Steven Cheung, Eric Frederic and Jesse Saint John. They get 11/2 odds. And the race looks even closer when you consider how divided our most elite users are.

Forget “Kevin’s not here.” More like, “Where’s Donald Trump?”
Canada’s public broadcaster took it upon itself to excise Trump’s cameo in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York for its Christmas Eve airing of the 1992 holiday hit. The CBC said in a statement to ComicBook.com today that the edit was made in the interest of running time, not politics:
“As is often the case with feature films adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited for time. The scene with Donald Trump was one of several that were cut from the movie as none of them were integral to the plot. These edits were done in 2014 when we first acquired the film and before Mr. Trump was elected President.”
But social media naturally picked up on the put-down and reacted accordingly. Even Donald Trump Jr. fired off a tweet calling the move “pathetic”:
