Alan Wang is an award-winning Chinese producer, director and screenwriter with over 15 years of experience in international sales and working between China and overseas. His know-how in cross-cultural and cross-strategic sales and financing qualifies him as a specialist in Sino-Foreign co-productions.
In 2012, he became partner with the award-winning German Producer and Director Jessie Kerry. He joined her 2010 founded film production company GENFILMS Productions in Chengdu, China. In 2015 Alan was announced to become the new CEO of the company and holds this position ever since.
He has been the Chinese co-producer and co-director of the award-winning US feature film "Kayla" (starring famous Chinese actor Sun Haiying and actress Lv Liping); the co-producer and co-director of the Chinese feature film "Puffer Rhapsody" in co-production with the GENFILMS Oscar nominated partner Goya Entertainment ; the executive writer of the 36 episodes TV series "Tiger Soul" (a Biography of Zhang Shanzi, the elder brother of famous Chinese painter Zhang Daqian); the director of post-production for the Chinese feature film "Travel the World to Meet You" (starring famous Korean actor Lee Dong Gun and actress Park Ji Yeon); video director for Chinese drama "Always Follow the CCP", "Looking for comrade Zhang Side", and the Musical "The way I love you is to leave you" (starring famous Chinese artist Feng Jiamei) and more.
He also directed and produced high-budget TV commercials, image films, documentaries and micro-films for famous enterprises and government departments, such as the Agricultural Bank of China, China Merchant Bank, China Overseas Building, Wuliangye Group, Datang Telecom, Wenjiang District government, Longquan District government, Sichuan Provincial Tax bureau and others.
Wang graduated from Sichuan University with a Bachelor in Economics and speaks fluently Chinese and English.
