Lewis Capaldi has been left “devastated” after being forced to cancel some tour dates after being diagnosed with bronchitis.
The musician was due to perform in Zurich and Milan this week. However, he wrote a heartfelt message to fans on Monday confirming both shows would have to be postponed.
Capaldi wrote, “Zurich & Milan, I’m absolutely devastated to be typing this. As lots of you know, for the past few nights of (the) tour I’ve been really struggling with my voice, last night in Stockholm I tried my best to sing through the show even with it feeling really uncomfortable because I was desperate not to let any of you down.”

Colombian director Laura Mora’s drama The Kings Of The World has clinched the Golden Eye for best feature film at the Zurich Film Festival.
The award follows hot on the heels of the film’s triumph at the San Sebastian Film Festival exactly a week ago, where it world premiered and then won the Golden Shell for best film.
The drama follows five street kids from Medellin who set off on a dangerous trip into the Colombian hinterland, after one of them is granted the right to a piece of land taken from his family by paramilitaries, during the country’s 52-year conflict which displaced more than five million people.
The Kings Of The World was produced by producer and director Cristina Gallego, whose credits include Birds Of Passage and the Oscar-nominated The Embrace Of The Serpent.
The film also previously screened to professionals as part of the TIFF...

Sony Pictures Classics co-presidents Michael Barker and Tom Bernard will be honored with the Zurich Film Festival’s Game Changer Award in recognition of their outstanding achievements within the film industry.
The award coincides with the 30th anniversary of Sony Pictures Classics which has played a game-changing role for independent auteur cinema at home and internationally since its creation in 1992.
“Sony Pictures Classics is synonymous amongst film fans with intelligent auteur cinema,” explains Christian Jungen, Zff Artistic Director.
“Michael and Tom have been producing and distributing sophisticated entertainment for the last 30 years,” he said.
“They have introduced such great European auteurs as Almodóvar, Wenders and Maren Ade to the American public, and given the best of American independent cinema to the world. Others have come and gone – they have remained for 30 years, successful and loyal to cinema. We want to honour this achievement with our award.”
