In 2023, Gabriella completed her Masters in Music Composition: Screen-Scoring at NYU. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Miami. A mentee in the competitive Society of Composers and Lyricists mentorship program for 2022 - 23, Gabriella was also selected to participate in the 2023 ASCAP Columbia University Film Scoring Workshop.
Gabriella spent six years writing and collaborating in Chicago, IL, where she completed comedy training at The Second City and worked as a Music Director at iO Chicago. During that time, she met Sarah Frasco and Jen Allman, with whom she wrote and produced the award-winning Lucky: A Musical ("Best Lyrics" and "Most Promising", Chicago Musical Theatre Festival 2019).
Her music draws upon her classical training, pop sensibilities, and diverse tastes as a listener. She writes orchestrally and electronically, often recording herself on piano, guitar, or vocals. She finds joy in dialoguing with directors about the heart of their project, and developing a shared vision for how music can bring it to life.
