- Originally from the Bay Area, Abner Jonathan Lozano-Chavez was born in Santa Clara county, California where he would spend his summers but was raised in Stockton, CA with his two sisters and younger brother.
In his upbringing, Abner was diagnosed with dyslexia at 12 years old and was told by his teachers that he would never be able to achieve a higher education. He faced a lot of trouble by getting suspended numerous times and would attend different schools every year. His parents feared that he would go into a different pathway with legal troubles and gun violence so they obligated him to work in the fields picking crops for a summer and it was there where he discovered his passion for acting.
Known for his striking presence and physical versatility, Abner Lozano attended the University of California, Berkeley where he received a B.A. in Theater and Law and participated in a number of plays. During his college education, Abner studied acting under award winning actress and playwright Margo Hall. He also trained classically at the Berkeley Repertory School of Theatre under Rolf Saxon. He completed his education at both schools and graduated in 2020.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Representation

- [on attending UC Berkeley] I'm really grateful for the people that I've met there that are no longer in my life, especially my professors in the theater who taught me the respect and discipline it takes to embody a character fully. But I remember at the end of it I just couldn't stand the damn place...I needed to get out and move to LA and get started professionally.
- ...you can get lost in the process and hanging out with the wrong people doesn't help. I'd rather be alone than to surround myself with people who have no ambition in life and distract themselves with pleasure. Because that's what people with no purpose in life do.
- [on moving to Los Angeles]...At first, when I made the move to Los Angeles, all of the fame and glam attracted me, but I soon realized that it didn't. And I found myself wanting to be great at this acting thing. A lot of sacrifices come with that...(VoyageLA Magazine, October 2023).
- [on the best advice he's received] When you go to a party, go ahead and get a drink but make sure that one drink lasts the whole night.
- [on his upbringing and career] Coming from Stockton, CA...acting doesn't exist out there. Let alone the idea of becoming one was absurd. I was ashamed for a long time being from there but as I got older I came to own it and really be proud of being the only actor to ever come from Stockton. It's known for its grotesque violence and growing up around that, it gave me an edge and uniqueness. (Shoutout LA Magazine, March 2024)
