- Franck Bauer was born on July 1, 1918 in Troyes, Aube, France. He was an actor and writer, known for Quelques oiseaux de proie (1980). He died on April 6, 2018 in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
- Son of an architect, he became a amateur jazz drummer in Paris. In 1940, he went to London and became a speaker at Radio Londres (the Free French radio) where he worked with among others Jacques Duchesne Maurice Schumann and Pierre Dac. At his death ,he was the oldest surviving member of that team.
- After the war, he was a journalist, a French civil servant and an author. He is the father of Axel Bauer.
