In the "Bewitched" episode "Sisters at Heart", the young Tabitha (Erin Murphy) brings home a new friend named Lisa (Venetta Rogers) to stay for a few days. Tabitha and Lisa have become very close very quickly, and refer to each other as sisters. Like with every episode of "Bewitched," Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) and Darrin (Dick Sargent) worry that the new social wrinkle in their lives will expose the fact that Samantha is an ancient, magic-practicing witch and that Tabitha also possesses eerie powers.
The drama of "Sisters at Heart," however, quickly extends past the show's usual shenanigans. A client of Darrin's, a bigoted toy manufacturer named Mr. Brockway (Parley Baer) swings by for a surprise in-home meeting. When he sees Lisa, he is outraged. Lisa is Black and Mr. Brockway, not having met Samantha, assumes that Darrin is married to a Black woman. Because he is evil, Mr. Brockway immediately...

Exactly ten months have gone by since MGM+ announced that they had ordered a third season of the sci-fi horror series From, and since we’re now also about halfway to Halloween, this seems like the perfect time for them to unveil a teaser trailer for From season 3. You can watch the teaser and get the first look at the season, which will begin airing sometime this fall, in the embed above.
Written and created by John Griffin, From is described as a “contemporary sci-fi horror series”. The show aims to unravel the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.

We’ve got good news for all the From fanatics out there.
We now know when the MGM+ hit series will return to our living rooms, and the answer is fall 2024!
That may seem far away but don’t worry. We’ve got something to tide you over until then.
That’s right, we’ve got an official teaser ahead of From Season 3, and boy, oh boy, is there a lot to unpack.
The events of From Season 2 Episode 10 are still fresh in our minds, what with the town ridding itself of an unspeakable evil that left them terrified and genuinely feeling like they were at death’s door.
That's been the general state of this time-lost town from the beginning, but the events of the finale made it even worse.
With an assist from town pariah Sara, Boyd literally made the music stop, eradicating that horrendous cicada noise and...

It's been a few months since From Season 2 Episode 10 came and went, with an ending so shocking, many fans are still recovering.
Since its debut, From has been nothing short of a thrilling mystery, with a gripping hook and an even better cast to tie everything together.
And while it's not known when the series will be back for its third season (though we do know they are currently filming!), that won't stop me from speculating about what could be in store for us when the series returns!
In case you need a little refresher about where things were left at the end of From Season 2, the mystery music box was finally destroyed by Boyd, and with it, Marielle, Randall, and Julie woke up.
The demise of the music box seemingly set the town right again. The cicada buzzing was no longer heard, and eyes were not rolled into the backs of heads.

For decades, Stephen King has been known as the Master of Horror. By now the prolific Maine author is a household name, known to genre fans and normies alike. He’s a central pillar of American folk horror and a major contributor to the modernization of genre fiction. But fifty years ago, Stephen King was a struggling writer hoping to sell his latest story to pay grocery bills and keep the lights on. In fact, notification that Doubleday would be publishing his first novel came via telegram because the Kings had recently disconnected the phone. That novel was Carrie, a shocking story of teenage power and adolescent cruelty. Like a cannonball tearing through the status quo, King would follow this impressive debut with the horror classics Salem’s Lot (1975), The Shining (1977), and The Stand (1978) followed by more than seventy (and counting) novels, short story collections, and nonfiction works, dominating horror fiction for the next fifty years.

For this month’s installment of “TV Terrors” we revisit “Friday the 13th: The Series,” which aired from 1987 to 1990 – and did not feature Jason Voorhees in a single episode.
One of the best memories of my childhood involves five year old me, my four year old brother and my mom hunkering down in front of the TV on a Saturday with some jelly cookies, and putting on channel 11 to watch “Friday the 13th: The Series.” Since my mom’s idea of winding down is watching anything horror oriented, we were more than happy to oblige, and “Friday the 13th: The Series” offered up the proper level of scares to keep me invested but never frightened. The series debuted in October of 1987, and stars Canadian pop star and model Robey as Micki Foster, a young woman who inherits the antique store “Vendredi’s Antique’s” from her Uncle Lewis.
But this is no ordinary antique shop…...

“And then the world exploded.”
Fifty years ago, Stephen King published a slim novel about a lonely girl finding her power and the world of horror has never been the same. We all know the story by now. Outcast Carrie White gets bullied by her classmates and abused by her ultra-religious mother. Good Girl Sue Snell convinces her boyfriend to take Carrie to prom in her place. Mean Girl Chris Hargenson orchestrates a plot to get Carrie voted Prom Queen then coronates her with a bucket of pig’s blood. They all laugh and Carrie unleashes her deadly powers of telekinesis. King’s story of high school morality and bloody revenge has woven itself into the fabric of American life, extending its reach well past genre limits. To mark this milestone, The Losers’ Club celebrates the birth of a legend with a Twinner book episode on the 1974 novel Carrie.

In 2006, Stephen King's "Lisey's Story" won the Bram Stoker Award for its meticulous exploration of the art of writing, entwined with how repressed memories burst to the surface and begin to define who we are. King's novel examines what it means to be an author, where a mythical pool is likened to a wellspring of creativity, with the ability to both agonize and heal. Compared to most of King's works, "Lisey's Story" is a tad harder to breeze through — however, the halting nature of the story perfectly encapsulates the complexities of writing about something personal, along with the myriad emotions it evokes. This story in particular also holds deep personal meaning for King, contributing to the fact that it is still one of his favorite works.
The novel's focus is Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Scott Landon, but the vignettes of his life are recounted through the eyes of Lisey, Scott's wife,...

Lockhart’s YA novel We Were Liars, which hails from Julie Plec, Carina Adly MacKenzie, Universal Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
This marks a reunion for King and Plec. Mel B, one of the Spice Girls and a former host on America’s Got Talent, will narrate her first TV series. Sky Kids said Tuesday that the Scary Spice will be the narrator of a new animated children’s series called Happy Town.
“Narrated by Mel B, Happy Town follows the problem-solving adventures of an adorable hedgehog and ladybird best friend duo, Pep and Tabitha, in a charming and unique community,” the network said. “The brightness of the light in Happy Town depends on the townsfolks’ glee, so each time it starts to fizz out, the duo set out on a mission to make the sign shine bright again by helping others and encouraging everyone to help each other too.”

The original Bewitched was a lighthearted sitcom about a supernaturally gifted housewife who could alter reality just by wiggling her nose.
But it sounds like we'll soon be presented with a very different version of Samantha Stephens.
A reboot described as "an irreverent hourlong reimagination" of Bewitched is currently in development by Sony and writer-producer Judalina Neira.
Yes, this is your classic "gritty reboot," and if Neira's work on The Boys is any indication, you can expect it to be quite dark.
Perhaps Samantha will use her powers to become a cocaine kingpin, or maybe every time she wiggles her nose, a random person will die. The possibilities are endless!
According to a new report from Deadline, Neira -- who will be executive producing alongside Doug Robinson and Lauren Moffat -- is helming the show as the first project for both her overall deal with Sony and her new production company,...

This week, a fantastic thing happened that was a first in the history of Live with Kelly and Mark.
For a show in Season 29 like Live with Kelly and Mark, a new exciting thing like this is unheard of, and everyone was talking about it on social media.
The show always has a trivia contest where a call-in contestant answers questions and can win a mug, a t-shirt, and, ultimately, a trip somewhere fabulous.
It has morphed into the Stump Mark contest, and Mark Consuelos is competitive. Fans love seeing him lose; he is so dramatic that Live with Kelly and Mark constantly updates their Instagram when it gets heated.
Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark were speechless when someone the show called was in the audience and not from home.
In what could only be called pure luck, the person had tickets for the show’s audience the day...

It isn’t often that Kelly Ripa or her husband, Mark Consuelos, see something that has never happened before on Live with Kelly and Mark.
Today, Kelly and Mark were rendered speechless over this happening, and it was so much fun to watch it all unfold.
After the host chats every weekday, Kelly and Mark have their contest. It has morphed into a Stump Mark trivia contest where the contestant tries to stump Mark with one lie and one truth. He has to guess the truth.
If the contestant wins, they get a mug, then they play for a trip or a consolation prize if they cannot answer the question. Usually, the show calls the contestants from wherever they live, and the game continues.
However, things were not typical today, and Kelly and Mark are shocked at this “First” for Live, as they call it. It has not happened before,...

Delays are bound to happen when making movies, but something was clearly wrong when Amusement was postponed not once but twice in 2008. It wasn’t long before John Simpson’s American directorial debut was removed from the theatrical schedule altogether and then later dropped on DVD that following year. Although going from the big-screen to direct-to-video is an undeserved fate in some cases, this movie’s new destination was understandable. The unfavorable feedback from an early test screening — the word “disastrous” was tossed around — forced Warner Bros to salvage the potential flop now on its hands. Nevertheless, the negative consensus hasn’t stopped Amusement from amassing a small fan base over the years; its followers focus on this panned movie’s few merits rather than its many shortcomings.
At first, Amusement looks to be an anthology; this horror movie’s first three acts are well defined and almost function as standalone short features.

Actor Hugh Grant claims he’s “too old” for his five children and also joked that his life was now joyless as he was bogged down in family duties.
“I have no fun at all. I’m swamped in children,” he told People about his children’s demands on his time.
Hugh has daughter Tabitha, 12, and son Felix, nine, with his ex Tinglan Hong, and has more kids with his 40-year-old wife Anna Eberstein, reports aceshowbiz.com.

‘Wintertide’ Ending Explained & Movie Summary: How Did Beth Return The Strays To Their Normal State?
John Barnard’s 2023 film Wintertide isn’t just about the mindless zombies that go around town chasing and killing people; rather, it takes a detour from all the gory elements to focus on the toll an epidemic takes on the mental health of those enveloped in it. The film isn’t just about survival but about the transformations and changes that take place inside everyone’s mind.
Wintertide is set in Canada, wherein most of the population has turned into zombies, called Strays, because of depression caused by the lack of sunlight. Also, these Strays caused electrical disturbances whenever they were in the area. To counter the spread of the epidemic, the government passed around some pills and syrups to fight off the symptoms. Wintertide revolves around one specific person caught in the crosshairs of this zombie apocalypse: Beth.

It’s time again for spooks and frights, and with the original “Charmed” series celebrating its 25th anniversary, it’s also seems like a good time to check out some of TV’s most famous (and infamous) witches.

From the comical “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” to the terrifying “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” to the fantasy “Once Upon a Time” to the police procedural “Grimm,” the magical powers and spells of witches and sorcerers have enchanted, spooked and amused viewers.
Besides “Bewitched,” “Charmed” is the longest-lasting series to primarily feature witches, and attracted viewers not only with its supernatural elements, but also with the family dramas that involved the sisters at the heart of the show.
In honor of that series 25th anniversary, we...

Besides “Bewitched,” “Charmed” is the longest-lasting series to primarily feature witches, and attracted viewers not only with its supernatural elements, but also with the family dramas that involved the sisters at the heart of the show.
In honor of that series 25th anniversary, we...

It’s not the small town diner setting that makes Last Straw – the feature directorial debut by Alan Scott Neal – stand out, though it does give it a fresh angle for its home invasion thrills. It’s the unique narrative structure that not only leans into the prevalent feeling of rage but reframes the visceral violence that ensues. While Last Straw ultimately fails to stick to the landing, the commitment to escalating the tension and violence through rage-fueled characters fascinates all the same.
Twenty-year-old Nancy (Jessica Belkin) feels trapped and fed up with her life. Stuck in a transitionary period post-high school, Nancy tries and fails to care for her dead mother’s beloved car and hangs out with her still-in-high-school best pal Tabitha (Tara Raani). Nancy also happens to be bitter about an unwanted pregnancy, which compounds her frustrations with working at her dad’s (Jeremy Sisto) diner as a waitress-turned-manager.

In its own way, Sol Saks' 1963 sitcom "Bewitched" was a subversive work. Inspired by movies like "I Married a Witch" (1942) and "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" (1957), "Bewitched" followed the everyday, quotidian, brightly-lit travails of a typical white suburban couple named Darrin Stephens and Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery).
The twist was that Samantha was a centuries-old witch, descended from a long line of magic-users. Endora (Agnes Moorehead), Samantha's colorful mother, would occasionally drop in, as would her father Maurice (Maurice Evans from "Planet of the Apes"), and uncle Arthur (legendary comedian Paul Lynde). The witches and warlocks on the show would often attempt to drive a wedge between Samantha and Darrin, but their love would prevail in the end.
Beginning in the show's third season, the Stephens had their first child, Tabitha (Erin Murphy and Diane Murphy). In the sixth season, they were joined by baby Adam (David Lawrence and Greg Lawrence).

We know that the broadcast networks have produced some of its best series as spinoffs from other shows – like “Cheers” spawning “Frasier” and “Happy Days” giving us “Laverne and Shirley.” What is discussed less often are the stinkers that are spun from successful shows much more often. For instance, “AfterMASH” probably seemed like a good idea in 1983 when it hit the CBS air the fall after “M*A*S*H” departed. But it never caught on. The same was true of the producers of “Friends” deciding to give Matt LeBlanc his own series as his Joey Tribbiani character in 2004. But it too proved to be a relatively short-lived flop.
TV history is jam-packed with ill-conceived and poorly-received spinoffs that in hindsight seem tailor-made for failure. I’m talking about you, “Mrs. Columbo,” and you too, “The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.” In fact, “Mrs. Columbo” was an idea that neither the producers of the original...

It's rare when a show seemingly comes out of nowhere and grabs ahold of you. From Season 1 was such an experience.
It was a perfect blend of mystery, horror, and young lore, which made for a perfect watch. It was elevated by performances from all corners, led by the incomparable Harold Perrineau.
From took everything that makes the genre appealing and put a unique spin on it.
One of the sticking points was the fact that there were a lot of mysteries, which felt justified since we joined the town's residents at a time when they hadn't learned much about the circumstances surrounding the town's status quo.
In a way, it felt like we were right there in the throes with them as they tried to survive another night, fighting the monsters from the outside, those inside of themselves in them, and those in their midst.

A story.” The hairstyle in question is initially shown as an unfinished work of art (or travesty if you’re a competitor hoping for a fellow stylist’s downfall): a mess of strands that’s easy to see through and hard to make sense of. But as the film progresses, Cleve creates a truly beautiful and engrossing design out of what was once incoherent webbing: a glowing ship upon a wave of hair, meant to be a recreation of the Orient,...

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the series finale of The CW’s Riverdale.
Goodbye, Riverdale.
After seven seasons that included multiple serial killers, at least one human sacrifice, lots of drug trafficking, an organ harvesting cult, a parallel universe, and time travel in the name of saving the town from an impending comet…the eclectic series has come to an end.
The CW series bid farewell to its characters during a heartfelt episode on Wednesday which saw Betty (Lili Reinhart) at the end of her life. She’s just learned that Jughead (Cole Sprouse) has died, meaning she’s the last of the original crew still alive. As she expresses to her granddaughter that she’d like to visit Riverdale one last time, she’s visited by a younger version of Jughead, who offers her one last chance to spend a day in high school with her friends.

Have you finished tearing up, Riverdale fans? The ending of Riverdale Season 7 Episode 19 hit like a ton of emotional bricks.
The penultimate episode of Riverdale was a satisfying and touching trip down memory lane.
"Chapter One Hundred Thirty-Six: The Golden Age of Television" balanced both winding down the stories of Riverdale Season 7 and honoring the series. If we didn't have a series finale coming up, this could've been a sweet end to the story.
Much like Tabitha's angelic twist, this chapter weaves both worlds together -- the two sides of Riverdale we have come to know: (1) the six seasons of the original Riverdale and (2) the reboot set in 1955.
We can't get into the group's big decision without discussing how they've come so far.
Having the town right their wrongs was a long time coming.
People like Dr. Werthers and Principal Featherhead had been controlling things with an iron fist.

Sarah Jessica Parker's best-known role involves looking for love and living her best single life in the process, but in reality, the "And Just Like That" star has been happily married for over 20 years, and is a mom of three.

Right from the pilot episode, MGM+’s sci-fi mystery thriller From has managed to captivate its viewers through effective use of suspense, which has since contributed to a plethora of fan theories regarding the central mystery of the series. Right from alien intervention, pocket dimension, warped reality, and omniscient meta-narrative to reinterpretation of biblical myth and reinvention of hell, every piece of speculation regarding the whereabouts of Fromland is ever more expansive and crazy than the last one. Although the nature, origin, and functionality of Fromland are still shrouded in secrecy, the second season has revealed a massive plot point that changes our understanding of the narrative in a major way. With more than a year to go until the next season drops, fans can’t wait to witness how clues provided by the first two seasons eventually form up, and therefore we would like to share our two-bit look...

A key ingredient for a well-made survival drama is showcasing how different characters respond to a common set of conditions or external influences. MGM+’s sci-fi mystery thriller gains strength in this particular aspect as an ensemble of talented cast members manages to capture the viewers’ awe through deft characterization and a story that always keeps them guessing. The hellscape of Fromland traps unaware victims in its clutches in regular intervals or cycles, and in the present cycle, which the series begins with, two groups of newcomers get ensnared at the same time. Among them are Tabitha, from the Mathews family, and Jade, one of the two friends, who in the course of the two seasons of the series, prove themselves to be pivotal in their ‘destined’ role in the context of the fate of other trapped victims of Fromland. The way their roadmap has been charted out so far...

But in a shocking turn of events, Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) was pushed out a window and woke up in a hospital outside of the town. Perrineau talks about the Season 2 ending and some lingering questions for the future and provides an update on a potential Season 3. What’s up with Martin (Robert Verlaque), who saved you from the well? Does his role play a role in Boyd and his future? Obviously, we see him pass the infection, but is he the new Martin now? The makers of MGM+’s sci-fi horror drama From have a great way of maintaining suspense throughout, so much so that even as the second season has ended, viewers hardly have a concrete idea about the central mystery. Much of this is achieved by withholding information, as shown through the role of Victor, who might be the most important character of the series so far. The seemingly frail, mentally broken, eccentric middle-aged man has lived in the godforsaken place for the longest period, and as the series has shown so far, his experience is going to play a vital part in learning about an escape route.
Victor, from his initial interactions with the townsfolk, is considered an oddball of a character by viewers, whose intellectual growth has remained stunted at a child-like phase. However, as we got to know more about his past, fans even started speculating that everything that...

In one of his seminal works, Shawshank Redemption, Stephen King remarked through his character, Red, about the dangerous capacity of hope, which can turn a person insane. The series finale of MGM+’s From evokes a similar sentiment, as by the end of the episode, viewers are left to question everything that they had assumed about the mystery regarding ‘Fromland’. In the previous episode, an ominous rhyme in the form of a warning was heard by a number of townsfolk from the other side, which mentioned the demise of three people. In sync with what was foretold, Marielle and Julie get trapped in a nightmare scare, and Randall seemingly falls prey to the same as well. Tabitha learned from Victor that his mother considered that going to the lighthouse and saving the kids—the same disfigured ones Tabitha had been seeing in her vision—could have been a way to...

From Season 2 Episode 10 was one for the books, folks. Boyd finally stopped the damn music, and the cicadas returned to their caves. And Tabitha Was Pushed Out Of A Lighthouse And Ended Up In The Real World!
That is obviously a major spoiler alert, but you absolutely can not talk about this hour without starting at the end because what in the world does this all mean?
From has never been predictable because it's nearly impossible to know where things will go at any moment. You can have your theories and make predictions, but they're crafting a complex and fascinating story with twists and turns you can't possibly predict.
Tabitha's journey during From Season 2 started with her and Victor in the tunnels, racing against the clock to get out of there before the monsters woke up and ate them for breakfast.

Just when it seemed that the townsfolk could finally rest easy about the nocturnal monsters after Boyd managed to kill one using his infected blood, a new threat started to emerge in the form of psychological suggestions. In the previous episode, we saw Kenny, Boyd, and Kristi extracting bile from the dead monster in hopes of using the infected fluid to kill other monsters. Tabitha inquired about the symbols, and Victor showed her some of the paintings made by his late sister, among which the painting of a lighthouse seemed particularly connected with Tabitha’s visions. Jim, on the other hand, sought the hothead newcomer Randall’s help for another attempt to communicate with the other side and mistakenly implanted the idea of the place being a botched experiment of some sort. This led to Randall considering that the entire ordeal was a heinous conspiracy by the townsfolk, and he held Donna captive.

The central mystery regarding the place the townsfolk are stuck in continues to get more unnerving and baffling with each episode of MGM+’s mystery thriller From. The intricately woven storyline acts almost like a metaphor for life; just when we think we have a grasp of the narrative, it throws a wicked curveball at us, forcing us to reconsider everything we had assumed so far.
In the previous episode, which was also the midseason finale of this ongoing season, one of the most triumphant moments of the series took place as Boyd managed to kill one of the nocturnal monsters using his infected blood. Tabitha struggles with recurrent bouts of visions of disfigured children since her return from the underground maze, and Jade notices her during one of those hallucination bouts. Sara’s return to town leads to an awkward situation as she is hated by most of the townsfolk for her past actions,...
